Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit OF GOD moved upon the face of the waters.
So God created man in his own image, in the image OF GOD created he him; male and female created he them.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness OF GOD made he him;
That the sons OF GOD saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons OF GOD came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image OF GOD made he man.
And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear OF GOD is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel OF GOD called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels OF GOD ascending and descending on it.
And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house OF GOD, and this is the gate of heaven.
And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face OF GOD, and thou wast pleased with me.
And they journeyed: and the terror OF GOD was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit OF GOD is?
Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain OF GOD, even to Horeb.
And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead OF GOD.
And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod OF GOD in his hand.
And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount OF GOD, and kissed him.
Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger OF GOD: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
And the angel OF GOD, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod OF GOD in mine hand.
And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount OF GOD:
And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to inquire OF GOD:
When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes OF GOD, and his laws.
And I have filled him with the spirit OF GOD, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger OF GOD.
And the tables were the work OF GOD, and the writing was the writing OF GOD, graven upon the tables.
And he hath filled him with the spirit OF GOD, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.
And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit OF GOD came upon him.
He hath said, which heard the words OF GOD, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
He hath said, which heard the words OF GOD, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
Did ever people hear the voice OF GOD speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?
And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger OF GOD; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed OF GOD;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man OF GOD blessed the children of Israel before his death.
Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the LORD said unto Moses the man OF GOD concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea. Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God. And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. read more And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war. show less
And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law OF GOD, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.
And the angel OF GOD said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man OF GOD came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel OF GOD, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:
Then Manoah intreated the LORD, and said, O my Lord, let the man OF GOD which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born.
And God hearkened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel OF GOD came again unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah her husband was not with her.
And they said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, OF GOD, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.
And they set them up Micah's graven image, which he made, all the time that the house OF GOD was in Shiloh.
And the chief of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people OF GOD, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.
And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house OF GOD, and asked counsel OF GOD, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.
Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto the house OF GOD, and wept, and sat there before the LORD, and fasted that day until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
And the children of Israel inquired of the LORD, (for the ark of the covenant OF GOD was there in those days,
And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to the house OF GOD, and the other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel.
And the people came to the house OF GOD, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore;
And there came a man OF GOD unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?
And ere the lamp OF GOD went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark OF GOD was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;
So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant OF GOD.
And the ark OF GOD was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.
And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark OF GOD. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.
And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark OF GOD is taken.
And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark OF GOD, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark OF GOD was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.
And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark OF GOD was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.
When the Philistines took the ark OF GOD, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
Therefore they sent the ark OF GOD to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark OF GOD came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.
So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand OF GOD was very heavy there.
And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man OF GOD, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.
Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man OF GOD: what have we?
And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man OF GOD, to tell us our way.
(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to inquire OF GOD, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man OF GOD was.
And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word OF GOD.
After that thou shalt come to the hill OF GOD, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:
And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit OF GOD came upon him, and he prophesied among them.
And the Spirit OF GOD came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.
And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark OF GOD. For the ark OF GOD was at that time with the children of Israel.
And Saul asked counsel OF GOD, Shall I go down after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.
And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit OF GOD was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.
And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit OF GOD was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired OF GOD for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Did I then begin to inquire OF GOD for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.
And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel OF GOD: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.
And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark OF GOD, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
And they set the ark OF GOD upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark OF GOD: and Ahio went before the ark.
And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark OF GOD, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark OF GOD.
And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark OF GOD. So David went and brought up the ark OF GOD from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark OF GOD dwelleth within curtains.
And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness OF GOD unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
And the woman said, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people OF GOD? for the king doth speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king doth not fetch home again his banished.
For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid out of the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance OF GOD.
Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel OF GOD, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.
To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel OF GOD, to know all things that are in the earth.
And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant OF GOD: and they set down the ark OF GOD; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.
And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark OF GOD into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:
Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark OF GOD again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.
And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had inquired at the oracle OF GOD: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel OF GOD: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear OF GOD.
And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom OF GOD was in him, to do judgment.
And, behold, there came a man OF GOD out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man OF GOD, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him.
The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man OF GOD had given by the word of the LORD.
And the king answered and said unto the man OF GOD, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man OF GOD besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.
And the king said unto the man OF GOD, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.
And the man OF GOD said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place:
Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man OF GOD had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man OF GOD went, which came from Judah.
And went after the man OF GOD, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man OF GOD that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.
And he cried unto the man OF GOD that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,
And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man OF GOD, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.
And the prophet took up the carcase of the man OF GOD, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.
And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man OF GOD is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:
And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man OF GOD? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man OF GOD, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.
And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount OF GOD.
And there came a man OF GOD, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man OF GOD, the king hath said, Come down.
And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man OF GOD, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man OF GOD, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man OF GOD, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire OF GOD came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man OF GOD, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
Then she came and told the man OF GOD. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man OF GOD, which passeth by us continually.
And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man OF GOD, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man OF GOD, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man OF GOD, and come again.
So she went and came unto the man OF GOD to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man OF GOD saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:
And when she came to the man OF GOD to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man OF GOD said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man OF GOD, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man OF GOD bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
And it was so, when Elisha the man OF GOD had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man OF GOD: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
And he returned to the man OF GOD, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man OF GOD, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
And the man OF GOD said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
And the man OF GOD sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.
And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man OF GOD told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
And when the servant of the man OF GOD was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man OF GOD, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man OF GOD had said, who spake when the king came down to him.
And it came to pass as the man OF GOD had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:
And that lord answered the man OF GOD, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man OF GOD: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man OF GOD, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.
And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man OF GOD is come hither.
And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man OF GOD, and inquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man OF GOD wept.
And the man OF GOD was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.
And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man OF GOD proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man OF GOD, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.
For there fell down many slain, because the war was OF GOD. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
Their brethren also the Levites were appointed unto all manner of service of the tabernacle of the house OF GOD.
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant OF GOD had commanded.
And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house OF GOD;
And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house OF GOD.
For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house OF GOD.
And they lodged round about the house OF GOD, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host OF GOD.
So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark OF GOD from Kirjathjearim.
And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark OF GOD the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.
And they carried the ark OF GOD in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.
And David was afraid OF GOD that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark OF GOD home to me?
And the ark OF GOD remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.
And David inquired OF GOD, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.
Therefore David inquired again OF GOD; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark OF GOD, and pitched for it a tent.
Then David said, None ought to carry the ark OF GOD but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark OF GOD, and to minister unto him for ever.
And the children of the Levites bare the ark OF GOD upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark OF GOD: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
So they brought the ark OF GOD, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant OF GOD.
And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments OF GOD. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
But David could not go before it to inquire OF GOD: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house OF GOD.
Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels OF GOD, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house OF GOD;
Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house OF GOD, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words OF GOD, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house OF GOD, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house OF GOD, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house OF GOD, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:
And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house OF GOD: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
And gave for the service of the house OF GOD of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation OF GOD, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
But the ark OF GOD had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house OF GOD. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house OF GOD;
And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house OF GOD, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;
Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house OF GOD.
So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house OF GOD.
And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house OF GOD.
And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man OF GOD commanded.
So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was OF GOD, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
And he brought into the house OF GOD the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
And the fear OF GOD was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.
And the destruction of Ahaziah was OF GOD by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
And he was with them hid in the house OF GOD six years: and Athaliah reigned over the land.
And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house OF GOD. And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.
Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in the house OF GOD.
For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house OF GOD; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow upon Baalim.
And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in to the LORD the collection that Moses the servant OF GOD laid upon Israel in the wilderness.
So the workmen wrought, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house OF GOD in his state, and strengthened it.
And the Spirit OF GOD came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
Now concerning his sons, and the greatness of the burdens laid upon him, and the repairing of the house OF GOD, behold, they are written in the story of the book of the kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.
But there came a man OF GOD to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.
And Amaziah said to the man OF GOD, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man OF GOD answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
But Amaziah would not hear; for it came OF GOD, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.
And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house OF GOD with Obededom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.
And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions OF GOD: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.
And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house OF GOD, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house OF GOD, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.
Also in Judah the hand OF GOD was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.
And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man OF GOD: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house OF GOD.
And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings OF GOD, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.
And in every work that he began in the service of the house OF GOD, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house OF GOD, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house OF GOD, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem.
And he caused all that were present in Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand to it. And the inhabitants of Jerusalem did according to the covenant OF GOD, the God of their fathers.
And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house OF GOD, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.
Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth OF GOD, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
But they mocked the messengers OF GOD, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
And all the vessels of the house OF GOD, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
And they burnt the house OF GOD, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house OF GOD that is in Jerusalem.
And some of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house OF GOD to set it up in his place:
Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man OF GOD.
Now in the second year of their coming unto the house OF GOD at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.
Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house OF GOD: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.
Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house OF GOD which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets OF GOD helping them.
But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon the same king Cyrus made a decree to build this house OF GOD.
And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house OF GOD, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor;
And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house OF GOD be builded in his place.
Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house OF GOD which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished.
Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house OF GOD at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house OF GOD at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house OF GOD, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house OF GOD.
Let the work of this house OF GOD alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house OF GOD in his place.
Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house OF GOD: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expences be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house OF GOD which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
And offered at the dedication of this house OF GOD an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service OF GOD, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.
And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house OF GOD.
Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house OF GOD, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.
But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear OF GOD.
Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house OF GOD, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.
So they read in the book in the law OF GOD distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house OF GOD, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law OF GOD. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law OF GOD, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant OF GOD, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;
Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house OF GOD.
And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house OF GOD.
The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house OF GOD.
And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man OF GOD, ward over against ward.
And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man OF GOD, and Ezra the scribe before them.
So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house OF GOD, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation OF GOD for ever;
And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house OF GOD.
Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house OF GOD, with the meat offering and the frankincense.
Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house OF GOD forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.
Now there was a day when the sons OF GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire OF GOD is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
Again there was a day when the sons OF GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand OF GOD, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors OF GOD do set themselves in array against me.
Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand OF GOD hath touched me.
For what portion OF GOD is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
He is the chief of the ways OF GOD: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house OF GOD, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Then will I go unto the altar OF GOD, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city OF GOD, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation OF GOD.
The sacrifices OF GOD are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
{To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.} Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness OF GOD endureth continually.
But I am like a green olive tree in the house OF GOD: I trust in the mercy OF GOD for ever and ever.
And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work OF GOD; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river OF GOD, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence OF GOD.
The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence OF GOD: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence OF GOD, the God of Israel.
The chariots OF GOD are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues OF GOD in the land.
That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works OF GOD, but keep his commandments:
The wrath OF GOD came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.
{A Prayer of Moses the man OF GOD.} Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Because they rebelled against the words OF GOD, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
It is the glory OF GOD to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
There is nothing better for a man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand OF GOD. For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I? For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift OF GOD.
Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house OF GOD, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words. Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift OF GOD.
Consider the work OF GOD: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?
I counsel thee to keep the king's commandment, and that in regard of the oath OF GOD.
Then I beheld all the work OF GOD, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand OF GOD: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works OF GOD who maketh all.

And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions OF GOD to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

The cedars in the garden OF GOD could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden OF GOD was like unto him in his beauty.
I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden OF GOD, envied him.
In the visions OF GOD brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house OF GOD: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name OF GOD for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son OF GOD.
Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house OF GOD which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant OF GOD, because we have sinned against him.
When they had sent unto the house OF GOD Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,
And being warned OF GOD in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned OF GOD in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit OF GOD descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son OF GOD, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth OF GOD.
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son OF GOD, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
But seek ye first the kingdom OF GOD, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son OF GOD? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
How he entered into the house OF GOD, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit OF GOD, then the kingdom OF GOD is come unto you.
Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son OF GOD.
But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment OF GOD by your tradition?
And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment OF GOD of none effect by your tradition.
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be OF GOD, but those that be of men.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom OF GOD.
And Jesus went into the temple OF GOD, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom OF GOD before you.
Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom OF GOD shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way OF GOD in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power OF GOD.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels OF GOD in heaven.
And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne OF GOD, and by him that sitteth thereon.
And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple OF GOD, and to build it in three days.
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son OF GOD.
And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son OF GOD, come down from the cross.
He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son OF GOD.
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son OF GOD.
Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom OF GOD,
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom OF GOD is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One OF GOD.
How he went into the house OF GOD in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
For whosoever shall do the will OF GOD, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom OF GOD: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom OF GOD? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
For laying aside the commandment OF GOD, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment OF GOD, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Making the word OF GOD of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be OF GOD, but the things that be of men.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom OF GOD come with power.
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom OF GOD with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom OF GOD.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom OF GOD as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom OF GOD!
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom OF GOD!
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom OF GOD.
And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way OF GOD in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power OF GOD?
And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom OF GOD. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom OF GOD.
And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son OF GOD.
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counseller, which also waited for the kingdom OF GOD, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand OF GOD.
And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence OF GOD; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace OF GOD was upon him.
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word OF GOD came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son OF GOD.
And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son OF GOD, command this stone that it be made bread.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word OF GOD.
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son OF GOD, cast thyself down from hence:

And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son OF GOD. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word OF GOD, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom OF GOD is greater than he.
But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel OF GOD against themselves, being not baptized of him.
And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom OF GOD: and the twelve were with him,
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom OF GOD: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word OF GOD, and do it.
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son OF GOD most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom OF GOD, and healed them that had need of healing.
But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom OF GOD.
And they were all amazed at the mighty power OF GOD. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,
Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom OF GOD.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom OF GOD.
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom OF GOD is come nigh unto you.
Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom OF GOD is come nigh unto you.
But if I with the finger OF GOD cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom OF GOD is come upon you.
But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love OF GOD: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Therefore also said the wisdom OF GOD, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels OF GOD:
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom OF GOD, and you yourselves thrust out.
And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom OF GOD.
And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom OF GOD.
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels OF GOD over one sinner that repenteth.
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight OF GOD.
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom OF GOD is preached, and every man presseth into it.
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom OF GOD should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom OF GOD cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom OF GOD is within you.
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom OF GOD.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom OF GOD as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom OF GOD!
For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom OF GOD.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom OF GOD's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom OF GOD should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. read more And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. show less
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way OF GOD truly:
Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children OF GOD, being the children of the resurrection.
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings OF GOD: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom OF GOD is nigh at hand.
For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom OF GOD.
For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom OF GOD shall come.
Then said they all, Art thou then the Son OF GOD? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen OF GOD.
(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom OF GOD.
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but OF GOD.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom OF GOD.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son OF GOD.
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words OF GOD: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath OF GOD abideth on him.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son OF GOD: and they that hear shall live.
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work OF GOD, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught OF GOD. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard OF GOD: this did not Abraham.
He that is OF GOD heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not OF GOD.
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works OF GOD should be made manifest in him.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not OF GOD, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper OF GOD, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son OF GOD?
If he called them gods, unto whom the word OF GOD came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son OF GOD?
When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory OF GOD, that the Son OF GOD might be glorified thereby.
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son OF GOD, which should come into the world.
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory OF GOD?
And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children OF GOD that were scattered abroad.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son OF GOD.
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son OF GOD; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved OF GOD among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge OF GOD, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Therefore being by the right hand OF GOD exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
But if it be OF GOD, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word OF GOD, and serve tables.
And the word OF GOD increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand OF GOD.
To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power OF GOD.
Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word OF GOD, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight OF GOD.
And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight OF GOD.
Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee OF GOD.
Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before OF GOD, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained OF GOD to be the Judge of quick and dead.
And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word OF GOD.
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace OF GOD, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word OF GOD in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will OF GOD, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace OF GOD.
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word OF GOD should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom OF GOD.
And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace OF GOD for the work which they fulfilled.
And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace OF GOD.
But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word OF GOD was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring OF GOD, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way OF GOD more perfectly.
And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom OF GOD.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace OF GOD.
And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom OF GOD, shall see my face no more.
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church OF GOD, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Having therefore obtained help OF GOD, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom OF GOD, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation OF GOD is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
Preaching the kingdom OF GOD, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel OF GOD,
And declared to be the Son OF GOD with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
To all that be in Rome, beloved OF GOD, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will OF GOD to come unto you.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power OF GOD unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness OF GOD revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
For the wrath OF GOD is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known OF GOD is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Who changed the truth OF GOD into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Backbiters, haters OF GOD, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Who knowing the judgment OF GOD, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
But we are sure that the judgment OF GOD is according to truth against them which commit such things.
And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment OF GOD?
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness OF GOD leadeth thee to repentance?
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment OF GOD;
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but OF GOD.
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith OF GOD without effect?
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness OF GOD, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
For if the truth OF GOD hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
But now the righteousness OF GOD without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness OF GOD which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance OF GOD;
He staggered not at the promise OF GOD through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory OF GOD.
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love OF GOD is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace OF GOD, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift OF GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law OF GOD; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law OF GOD, neither indeed can be.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit OF GOD dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And if children, then heirs; heirs OF GOD, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons OF GOD.
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children OF GOD.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand OF GOD, who also maketh intercession for us.
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love OF GOD, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service OF GOD, and the promises;
Not as though the word OF GOD hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children OF GOD: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose OF GOD according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but OF GOD that sheweth mercy.
For they being ignorant OF GOD's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness OF GOD.
But what saith the answer OF GOD unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity OF GOD: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge OF GOD! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies OF GOD, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will OF GOD.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but OF GOD: the powers that be are ordained OF GOD.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance OF GOD: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
For he is the minister OF GOD to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister OF GOD, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
For the kingdom OF GOD is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
For meat destroy not the work OF GOD. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth OF GOD, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me OF GOD,
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel OF GOD, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit OF GOD; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Unto the church OF GOD which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace OF GOD which is given you by Jesus Christ;
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power OF GOD.
For after that in the wisdom OF GOD the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power OF GOD, and the wisdom OF GOD.
Because the foolishness OF GOD is wiser than men; and the weakness OF GOD is stronger than men.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who OF GOD is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony OF GOD.
But we speak the wisdom OF GOD in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things OF GOD.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things OF GOD knoweth no man, but the Spirit OF GOD.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is OF GOD; that we might know the things that are freely given to us OF GOD.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit OF GOD: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
According to the grace OF GOD which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
Know ye not that ye are the temple OF GOD, and that the Spirit OF GOD dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple OF GOD, him shall God destroy; for the temple OF GOD is holy, which temple ye are.
If any man defile the temple OF GOD, him shall God destroy; for the temple OF GOD is holy, which temple ye are.
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries OF GOD.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise OF GOD.
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom OF GOD? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom OF GOD.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have OF GOD, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift OF GOD, one after this manner, and another after that.
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments OF GOD.
But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit OF GOD.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory OF GOD.
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church OF GOD:
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory OF GOD: but the woman is the glory of the man.

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches OF GOD.
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church OF GOD, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit OF GOD calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
What? came the word OF GOD out from you? or came it unto you only? If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church OF GOD.
But by the grace OF GOD I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace OF GOD which was with me.
Yea, and we are found false witnesses OF GOD; because we have testified OF GOD that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge OF GOD: I speak this to your shame.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom OF GOD; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image OF GOD, should shine unto them.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be OF GOD, and not of us.

But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers OF GOD, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
By the word of truth, by the power OF GOD, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
And what agreement hath the temple OF GOD with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear OF GOD.

And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will OF GOD.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge OF GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel OF GOD freely?
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power OF GOD. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power OF GOD toward you.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love OF GOD, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will OF GOD and our Father:
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church OF GOD, and wasted it:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son OF GOD, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
I do not frustrate the grace OF GOD: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight OF GOD, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before OF GOD in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
Is the law then against the promises OF GOD? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir OF GOD through Christ.
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known OF GOD, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel OF GOD, even as Christ Jesus.
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom OF GOD.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath OF GOD upon the children of disobedience.

Put on the whole armour OF GOD, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love OF GOD, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

All scripture is given by inspiration OF GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Paul, a servant OF GOD, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith OF GOD's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment OF GOD our Saviour;
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word OF GOD be not blasphemed.
Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine OF GOD our Saviour in all things.
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels OF GOD worship him.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace OF GOD should taste death for every man.
For the word OF GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son OF GOD, let us hold fast our profession.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles OF GOD; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son OF GOD afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son OF GOD; abideth a priest continually.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word OF GOD, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
By faith Noah, being warned OF GOD of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people OF GOD, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne OF GOD.
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace OF GOD; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word OF GOD: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
James, a servant OF GOD and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted OF GOD: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

For so is the will OF GOD, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants OF GOD.
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight OF GOD of great price.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and OF GOD resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love OF GOD in him?
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are OF GOD: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit OF GOD: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is OF GOD:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not OF GOD: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Ye are OF GOD, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
We are OF GOD: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not OF GOD heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is OF GOD; and every one that loveth is born OF GOD, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love OF GOD toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son OF GOD, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born OF GOD: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
By this we know that we love the children OF GOD, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
For this is the love OF GOD, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
For whatsoever is born OF GOD overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness OF GOD is greater: for this is the witness OF GOD which he hath testified of his Son.
He that believeth on the Son OF GOD hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son OF GOD; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son OF GOD.
We know that whosoever is born OF GOD sinneth not; but he that is begotten OF GOD keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are OF GOD, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
And we know that the Son OF GOD is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is OF GOD: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Keep yourselves in the love OF GOD, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Who bare record of the word OF GOD, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word OF GOD, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath OF GOD, who liveth for ever and ever.
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory OF GOD, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath OF GOD upon the earth.
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name OF GOD, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day OF GOD Almighty.
For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words OF GOD shall be fulfilled.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings OF GOD.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word OF GOD.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word OF GOD, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests OF GOD and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle OF GOD is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Having the glory OF GOD: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory OF GOD did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne OF GOD and of the Lamb.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne OF GOD and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
