So shall ye know that i ami> the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil isi> upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for i know that for my sake this great tempest isi> upon you.
For, behold, i will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and i will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
And they that arei> far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And thisi> shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
And ye shall know that i have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and i gave them to him fori> the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See thati> no man know iti>.
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that i shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that i am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
But Jesus called them unto himi>, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any mani>: for thou regardest not the person of men.

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, eveni> at the doors.
Ye know that after two days is the feast ofi> the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for i know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all thesei> things are done in parables:
And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know iti>. For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him. And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? read more But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should bei> the greatest. And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the samei> shall be last of all, and servant of all. And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. show less
But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that i drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that i am baptized with?
But Jesus called them to himi>, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, eveni> at the doors.
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) i say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall youri> heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of anyi>, but teachest the way of God truly:
Verily, verily, i say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
The woman saith unto him, i know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard himi> ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
There is another that beareth witness of me; and i know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, i came down from heaven?
Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence i am: and i am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that i am hei>, and thati> i do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, i speak these things.
i know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. i speak that which i have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which i have heard of God: this did not Abraham. read more Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, eveni> God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for i proceeded forth and came from God; neither came i of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? eveni> because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of youri> father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because i tell youi> the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if i say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear themi> not, because ye are not of God. Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? Jesus answered, i have not a devil; but i honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. And i seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. Verily, verily, i say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If i honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but i know him: and if i should say, i know him not, i shall be a liar like unto you: but i know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw iti>, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, i say unto you, Before Abraham was, i am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. show less

Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, i bring him forth to you, that ye may know that i find no fault in him. Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilatei> saith unto them, Behold the man! When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify himi>, crucify himi>. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify himi>: for i find no fault in him. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. read more When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that i have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at alli> against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! But they cried out, Away with himi>, away with himi>, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall i crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led himi> away. And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the placei> of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title, and put iti> on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, andi> Greek, andi> Latin. Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, i am King of the Jews. Pilate answered, What i have written i have written. Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also hisi> coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did. Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wifei> of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own homei>. After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, i thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put iti> upon hyssop, and put iti> to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and thati> they might be taken away. Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw iti> bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced. And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave himi> leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weighti>. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation dayi>; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand. show less
