And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us Concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

And Pharaoh commanded his men Concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee Concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him Concerning that matter.

And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him Concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you Concerning all these words.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD Concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD Concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty;

When a ruler hath sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD his God Concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty;

And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an atonement for him as Concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.

And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD Concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;

And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him Concerning his sin.

And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him Concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

Or have found that which was lost, and lieth Concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations Concerning the offerings of the LORD made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

And Concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses Concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses Concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command Concerning you.

And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good Concerning Israel.

Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, Concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes Concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded. If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth; And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. read more But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her. And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul; And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her. But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her. And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath; And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand. But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips Concerning her vows, or Concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her. Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void. But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them. But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity. These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the father and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her father's house. show less

But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips Concerning her vows, or Concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall forgive her.

So Concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

This is the thing which the LORD doth command Concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry.

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. And the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war. show less

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake Concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

And it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good that he hath spoken Concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over Israel;

Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault Concerning this woman?

And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken Concerning thy servant, and Concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.

Then Joab sent and told David all the things Concerning the war;

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted Concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.

And the king said unto the woman, Go to thine house, and I will give charge Concerning thee.

And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, Concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.

This is the word that the LORD hath spoken Concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

Therefore thus saith the LORD Concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.

And David said, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father shewed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him Concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.

Moreover Concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;

And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites Concerning any matter, or Concerning the treasures.

Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer Concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.

And also Concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Now Concerning his sons, and the greatness of the burdens laid upon him, and the repairing of the house of God, behold, they are written in the story of the book of the kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.

And Concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.

Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites Concerning the heaps.

Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, Concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.

And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel Concerning the words which thou hast heard;

But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they returned answer by letter Concerning this matter.

Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us Concerning this matter.

Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen Concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,

The noise thereof sheweth Concerning it, the cattle also Concerning the vapour.

{Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, Concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite.} O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:

And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom Concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.

I said in mine heart Concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely Concerning this.

When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them. Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellers as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness. And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed. For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen. For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water. And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them. show less

Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen Concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

This is the word that the LORD hath spoken Concerning Moab since that time.

As at the report Concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.

Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, Concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried Concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.

And he heard say Concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

The word that came to Jeremiah Concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;

For thus saith the LORD of hosts Concerning the pillars, and Concerning the sea, and Concerning the bases, and Concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,

Concerning Kedar, and Concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.

And Concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.

Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded Concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.

Concerning the ordinance of oil, the bath of oil, ye shall offer the tenth part of a bath out of the cor, which is an homer of ten baths; for ten baths are an homer:

And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: Concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven Concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation Concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry. Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well. So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better. The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
