And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the Bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the Bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the Bread shall ye burn with fire.

They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the Bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the Bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.

Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the Bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; read more No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the Bread of his God. He shall eat the Bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy. Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them. show less

No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the Bread of his God.

He shall eat the Bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

Neither from a stranger's hand shall ye offer the Bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened Bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened Bread.

And ye shall eat neither Bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no Bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light Bread.

Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my Bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.

And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened Bread be eaten.

So the priest gave him hallowed Bread: for there was no Bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot Bread in the day when it was taken away.

And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him Bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

Shall I then take my Bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men, whom I know not whence they be?

Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no Bread all the day, nor all the night.

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break Bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

When he therefore was come up again, and had broken Bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

And when he had thus spoken, he took Bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat.

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened Bread of sincerity and truth.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The Bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

For we being many are one Bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one Bread.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took Bread:

For as often as ye eat this Bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

• Sacrilege

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this Bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that Bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that Bread, and drink of that cup.

Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister Bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own Bread.
