Are we not counted of him Strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money.

For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were Strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were Strangers.

Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were Strangers in the land of Egypt.

Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were Strangers in the land of Egypt.

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the Strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the Strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the Strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were Strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

• Punishment

Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the Strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the Strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;

The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are Strangers and sojourners with me.

Moreover of the children of the Strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.

Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were Strangers in the land of Egypt.

Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy Strangers that are in thy land within thy gates:

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the Strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the Strangers that were conversant among them.

Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.

Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all Strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

Thus cleansed I them from all Strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business;

As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the Strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

The Strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.

For Strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and Strangers in it.

Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the Strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve Strangers in a land that is not yours.

For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and Strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be Strangers.

We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for Strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD'S house.

Our inheritance is turned to Strangers, our houses to aliens.

And I will give it into the hands of the Strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

• Women

But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh Strangers instead of her husband!

Behold, therefore I will bring Strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of Strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of Strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.

And Strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.

In that ye have brought into my sanctuary Strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the Strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

• Whirlwind

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the Strangers shall swallow it up.

So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no Strangers pass through her any more.

In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the Strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of Strangers?

Peter saith unto him, Of Strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

• Burial

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury Strangers in.

And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of Strangers.

Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and Strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as Strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.

(For all the Athenians and Strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and Strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Now therefore ye are no more Strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged Strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were Strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Be not forgetful to entertain Strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as Strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to Strangers;
