For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
