He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.

Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
