[4] And I will give  children  to be their princes,  and babes  shall rule  over them. [5] And the people  shall be oppressed,  every one  by his neighbour:  the child  shall behave himself proudly  against the ancient,  and the base  against the honourable. 

What does Isaiah 3:4-5 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

This lack of leadership would result in incompetent individuals seeking and gaining positions of authority (cf. Leviticus 19:32; 1 Kings 3:7). Isaiah 3:4 is reminiscent of the reign of King Rehoboam. Looking ahead, wicked King Manasseh began ruling over Judah when he was only12 , and Kings Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin, and Zedekiah, who followed him later, proved capricious.
