[18] But I said  unto their children  in the wilderness,  ye not in the statutes  of your fathers,  neither observe  their judgments,  nor defile  yourselves with their idols:  [19] I am the LORD  your God;  in my statutes,  and keep  my judgments,  and do  [20] And hallow  my sabbaths;  and they shall be a sign  between me and you, that ye may know  that I am the LORD  your God. 

What does Ezekiel 20:18-20 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

The Lord then instructed the children of the generation that He had liberated from Egyptian bondage not to follow the bad example of their fathers. Since He was Yahweh their God they should remain faithful to the terms of the (Mosaic) covenant that He had made with their nation.
