[12] What man  is he that desireth  life,  and loveth  many days,  that he may see  good?  [13] Keep  thy tongue  from evil,  and thy lips  from speaking  guile.  [14] Depart  from evil,  and do  good;  seek  peace,  and pursue

Contextual Meaning

God had promised long life to the godly in Israel as a reward for righteous behavior (cf. Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:33). Therefore the psalmist urged truthful speech, good deeds, and peaceful conduct.
