He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; read more Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
