{A Song of degrees of David.} If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

{A Song of degrees for Solomon.} Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
