Psalms 92:10-11

Psalms 92:10-11

[10] But my horn  shalt thou exalt  like the horn of an unicorn:  I shall be anointed  with fresh  oil.  [11] Mine eye  also shall see  my desire on mine enemies,  and mine ears  shall hear  my desire of the wicked  that rise up

What does Psalms 92:10-11 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

Rather than defeating the writer ( Psalm 92:9), the Lord made him stronger, as strong as the horn of a wild ox. He had also refreshed him and made him glad. Refreshment and joy are what anointing with oil represented in Israel. Psalm 92:10 b does not necessarily mean the writer was a king or a priest in Israel, though he may have been. God had blessed him by allowing him to experience victory over his enemies rather than dying.
