For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and inquired early after God. And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer. Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

Pray without ceasing.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
