Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. show less

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, Save thyself, and come down from the cross. Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.

And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.
