Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
