Romans 11:33-36

Romans 11:33-36

[33] the depth  of the riches  both  of the wisdom  and  knowledge  of God!  how  unsearchable  are his  judgments,  and  his  ways  past finding out!  [34] For  who  hath known  the mind  of the Lord?  or  who  hath been  his  counsellor?  [35] Or  who  hath first given  to him,  and  unto him  again?  [36] For  of  him,  and  through  him,  and  to  him,  are all things:  to whom  be glory  for  ever.  Amen.

What does Romans 11:33-36 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

This doxology corresponds to the one at the end of chapter8 where Paul concluded his exposition of God"s plan for bringing His righteousness to humankind ( Romans 8:31-39). There the emphasis was on the people of God. Here it is on the plan of God.
"Here theology turns to poetry. Here the seeking of the mind turns to the adoration of the heart." [1]
