[1] [[David's  Psalm of praise.]]  I will extol  O king;  and I will bless  thy name  for ever  and ever.  [2] Every day  will I bless  thee; and I will praise  thy name  for ever  and ever.

David resolved to praise the Lord daily and forever. The reasons follow.
"When one has come to the point of knowing the Lord in a personal way, the desire to sing His praise and sing it often becomes very strong." [1]
Observant Jews used to repeat this psalm three times a day: twice in the morning and once in the evening. [2]
