Psalms 36:7-9

Psalms 36:7-9

[7] How excellent  is thy lovingkindness,  O God!  therefore the children  of men  put their trust  under the shadow  of thy wings.  [8] They shall be abundantly satisfied  with the fatness  of thy house;  and thou shalt make them drink  of the river  of thy pleasures.  [9] For with thee is the fountain  of life:  in thy light  shall we see  light.

What does Psalms 36:7-9 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

The result of this philosophy of life contrasts with that of the wicked ( Psalm 36:2-4). Because God is lovingly loyal, His people can find refuge in Him (cf. Ruth 2:12; Matthew 23:37). They also enjoy the provisions of His house. They experience a virtual paradise on earth, as Adam and Eve did in Eden before the Fall. God provides life and the light of understanding for those who take Him into account.
