John 8:21-59

John 8:21-59

[21] Then  said  again  unto them,  go my way,  and  ye shall seek  and  shall die  in  sins:  whither  go,  cannot  come.  [22] Then  said  the Jews,  Will he kill  himself?  because  he saith,  Whither  go,  cannot  come.  [23] And  he said  unto them,  from  beneath;  am  from  above:  of  world;  am  not  of  world.  [24] I said  therefore  that  ye shall die  in  sins:  for  ye believe  that  am  he, ye shall die  in  sins.  [25] Then  unto him,  Who  thou?  And  Jesus  saith  unto them,  the same that I said  from the beginning.  [26] I have  many things  to say  and  to judge  of  but  he that sent  true;  and I  to  the world  which  I have heard  of  him.  [27] They understood  not  that  to them  of the Father.  [28] Then  said  Jesus  unto them,  When  ye have lifted up  the Son  of man,  then  shall ye know  that  am  he, and  that I do  nothing  of  myself;  but  as  Father  hath taught  I speak  [29] And  he that sent  with  not  left  alone;  for  do  always  those things that please  him.  [30] As he  spake  many  believed  on  him.  [31] Then  Jesus  to  those Jews  which  believed  on him,  If  continue  in  my  word,  disciples  indeed;  [32] And  ye shall know  the truth,  and  the truth  free.  [33] They answered  him,  Abraham's  seed,  and  never  in bondage  to any man:  how  sayest  thou,  Ye shall be made  free?  [34] Jesus  answered  them,  Verily,  I say  Whosoever  committeth  sin  the servant  of sin.  [35] And  the servant  abideth  not  in  the house  for  ever:  but the Son  abideth  ever.  [36] If  the Son  therefore  free,  free  indeed.  [37] I know  that  Abraham's  seed;  but  ye seek  to kill  because  my  word  no  place  in  [38] speak  that which  I have seen  with  Father:  and  do  that  which  ye have seen  with  father.  [39] They answered  and  said  unto him,  Abraham  father.  Jesus  saith  unto them,  If  Abraham's  children,  ye would do  the works  of Abraham.  [40] But  now  ye seek  to kill  a man  that  hath told  the truth,  which  I have heard  of  God:  did  not  Abraham.  [41] do  the deeds  father.  Then  said they  to him,  not  born  of  fornication;  we have  one  Father,  even God.  [42] Jesus  said  unto them,  If  God  Father,  ye would  love  for  proceeded forth  and  came  from  God;  neither  came I  of  myself,  but  he  sent  [43] not  understand  my  speech?  even because  ye cannot  hear  my  word.  [44] of  your father  the devil,  and  the lusts  father  ye will  do.  He  a murderer  from  the beginning,  and  not  in  the truth,  because  no  truth  in  him.  When  he speaketh  a lie,  he speaketh  of  his own:  for  a liar,  and  the father  of it.  [45] And  because  tell  you the truth,  ye believe  not.  [46] Which  of  convinceth  of  sin?  if  I say  the truth,  not  believe  [47] of  God  heareth  God's  words:  hear  them not,  because  not  of  God.  [48] answered  the Jews,  and  said  unto him,  Say  not  well  that  thou  a Samaritan,  and  hast  a devil?  [49] Jesus  answered,  have  not  a devil;  but  I honour  Father,  and  do dishonour  [50] And  seek  not  glory:  one that seeketh  and  judgeth.  [51] Verily,  I say  If  a man  keep  my  saying,  see  death.  [52] Then  said  the Jews  unto him,  Now  we know  that  thou hast  a devil.  Abraham  is dead,  and  the prophets;  and  thou  sayest,  If  a man  keep  saying,  taste  of death.  [53] Art  thou  father  Abraham,  which  is dead?  and  the prophets  are dead:  whom  makest  thou  thyself?  [54] Jesus  answered,  If  honour  myself,  honour  nothing:  Father  that honoureth  of whom  say,  that  God:  [55] Yet  not  known  him;  but  know  him:  and  I should say,  I know  him  not,  a liar  like  but  I know  him,  and  keep  his  saying.  [56] father  Abraham  rejoiced  to  my  day:  and  was glad.  [57] Then  said  the Jews  unto  him,  Thou art  not yet  fifty  years old,  and  hast thou seen  Abraham?  [58] Jesus  said  unto them,  Verily,  I say  Before  Abraham  was,  am.  [59] Then  took they up  stones  to  cast  at  him:  but  Jesus  hid himself,  and  went  out of  the temple,  going  through  the midst  of them,  and  so  passed by.
