Greek Commentary for John 10:21
Genitive of present passive participle of δαιμονιζω daimonizō They had heard demoniacs talk, but not like this. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind? Negative answer expected. Demons would more likely put out eyes, not open them. It was an unanswerable question. [source]
Literally, of one demonized. Rev., one possessed with a devil. [source]
Surely a demon cannot. [source]
Reverse Greek Commentary Search for John 10:21
Carried away or purloined. This meaning is rather imparted by the context than residing in the verb itself, i.e., according to New Testament usage (see on John 10:21). Unquestionably it has this meaning in later Greek, frequently in Josephus. Render, therefore, as Rev., took away. The rendering of the A.V. is tautological. [source]
