James 1:13-14

James 1:13-14

[13] no man  say  when he is tempted,  of  God:  for  God  cannot be tempted  with evil,  neither  he  any man:  [14] But  every man  is tempted,  when he is drawn away  of  his own  lust,  and  enticed.

What does James 1:13-14 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

James did not want us to conclude that because God permits us to experience trials He is the source of temptation. That deduction might encourage us to give in to sin.
