[9] Jehoiachin  was eight  years  old  when he began to reign,  three  months  and ten  days  in Jerusalem:  and he did  that which was evil  in the sight  of the LORD.  [10] And when the year  was expired,  king  Nebuchadnezzar  sent,  and brought  him to Babylon,  with the goodly  vessels  of the house  of the LORD,  and made Zedekiah  his brother  king  over Judah  and Jerusalem. 

What does 2 Chronicles 36:9-10 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

Like his father Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin was under Nebuchadnezzar"s thumb. He too suffered deportation to Babylon, and with him went more of the glory of Israel.
