And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside to thy right hand or to thy left, and lay thee hold on one of the young men, and take thee his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him. And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from following me: wherefore should I smite thee to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother? Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth ribi>, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, thati> as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.
Wherefore thouspan> artspan> great, O LORD God: for there isi> none like thee, neither is there anyi> God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
For thouspan> hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to bei> a people unto thee for ever: and thouspan>, LORD, artspan> become their God.
And now, O Lord GOD, thouspan> artspan>i> that God, and thy words be true, and thouspan> hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was soi>, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city artspan>i> thouspan>? But the people answered, thouspan> shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now thouspan> artspan>i> worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it isi> better that thouspan> succour us out of the city.

And when he was come near unto her, the woman said, artspan>i> thouspan> Joab? And he answered, I am hei>. Then she said unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do hear.

Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thouspan> artspan>i> a wise man, and knowest what thouspan> oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thouspan> down to the grave with blood.
And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thouspan> artspan>i> worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thouspan> barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father, and because thouspan> hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.

And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thouspan> artspan>i> a man of God, andi> that the word of the LORD in thy mouth isi> truth.

Then said he unto him, Because thouspan> hast not obeyed the voice of the LORD, behold, as soon as thouspan> artspan> departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thouspan> go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I ami> as thouspan> artspan>i>, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
Now therefore thus saith the LORD, thouspan> shalt not come down from that bed on which thouspan> artspan> gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is iti> not because there isi> not a God in Israel, thati> thouspan> sendest to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thouspan> shalt not come down from that bed on which thouspan> artspan> gone up, but shalt surely die.
And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thouspan> hast sent messengers to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is iti> not because there isi> no God in Israel to inquire of his word? therefore thouspan> shalt not come down off that bed on which thouspan> artspan> gone up, but shalt surely die.

Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thouspan> us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thouspan> artspan>i> the LORD God, eveni> thouspan> only.
And now, LORD, thouspan> artspan> God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it isi> nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thouspan> artspan>i> our God; let not man prevail against thee.
And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thouspan> go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I ami> as thouspan> artspan>i>, and my people as thy people; and we will bei> with thee in the war.
And said, O LORD God of our fathers, artspan>i> not thouspan> God in heaven? and rulest noti> thouspan> over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there noti> power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
artspan>i> not thouspan> our God, whoi> didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the kingi> said unto him, artspan> thouspan> made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thouspan> be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thouspan> hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
O LORD God of Israel, thouspan> artspan>i> righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it isi> this day: behold, we arei> before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.
Wherefore the king said unto me, Why isi> thy countenance sad, seeing thouspan> artspan>i> not sick? this isi> nothing elsei> but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,
thouspan>, eveni> thouspan>, artspan>i> LORD alone; thouspan> hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all thingsi> that arei> therein, the seas, and all that isi> therein, and thouspan> preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
thouspan> artspan>i> the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I sayi>, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thouspan> artspan>i> righteous:
And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thouspan> didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thouspan> artspan>i> a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.
Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thouspan> didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thouspan> artspan>i> a gracious and merciful God.
Howbeit thouspan> artspan>i> just in all that is brought upon us; for thouspan> hast done right, but we have done wickedly:
For if thouspan> altogether holdest thy peace at this time, theni> shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thouspan> and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thouspan> artspan> come to the kingdom for suchi> a time as this?
But now it is come upon thee, and thouspan> faintest; it toucheth thee, and thouspan> artspan> troubled.
artspan>i> thouspan> the first man thati> was born? or wast thouspan> made before the hills?

But thouspan>, O Lord, artspan>i> a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
For thouspan> artspan>i> the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
He shall cry unto me, thouspan> artspan>i> my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thouspan> hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thouspan> artspan>i> God.
But thouspan>, LORD, artspan> mosti> high for evermore.
Thy throne isi> established of old: thouspan> artspan>i> from everlasting.
For thouspan>, LORD, artspan>i> high above all the earth: thouspan> artspan> exalted far above all gods.
But thouspan> artspan>i> the same, and thy years shall have no end.
Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thouspan> artspan> very great; thouspan> artspan> clothed with honour and majesty.
The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, thouspan> artspan>i> a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
I will praise thee: for thouspan> hast heard me, and artspan> become my salvation.
thouspan> artspan>i> my God, and I will praise thee: thouspan> artspan>i> my God, I will exalt thee.
Blessed artspan>i> thouspan>, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
CHETH. thouspan> artspan>i> my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
thouspan> artspan>i> good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
thouspan> artspan>i> my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
TZADDI. Righteous artspan>i> thouspan>, O LORD, and upright arei> thy judgments.
thouspan> artspan>i> near, O LORD; and all thy commandments arei> truth.
O daughter of Babylon, who artspan> to be destroyed; happy shall he bei>, that rewardeth thee as thouspan> hast served us.
thouspan> compassest my path and my lying down, and artspan> acquainted withi> all my ways.
If I ascend up into heaven, thouspan> artspan>i> there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thouspan> artspan> therei>.
I said unto the LORD, thouspan> artspan>i> my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, thouspan> artspan>i> my refuge andi> my portion in the land of the living.
Teach me to do thy will; for thouspan> artspan>i> my God: thy spirit isi> good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
thouspan> artspan> snared with the words of thy mouth, thouspan> artspan> taken with the words of thy mouth.
Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thouspan> artspan> come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
Say unto wisdom, thouspan> artspan>i> my sister; and call understanding thyi> kinswoman:
He that saith unto the wicked, thouspan> artspan>i> righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
Blessed artspan>i> thouspan>, O land, when thy king isi> the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
Behold, thouspan> artspan>i> fair, my love; behold, thouspan> artspan>i> fair; thouspan> hasti> doves' eyes.
Behold, thouspan> artspan>i> fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed isi> green.
Behold, thouspan> artspan>i> fair, my love; behold, thouspan> artspan>i> fair; thouspan> hasti> doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair isi> as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.
thouspan> artspan>i> all fair, my love; there isi> no spot in thee.
thouspan> artspan>i> beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an armyi> with banners.
How fair and how pleasant artspan> thouspan>, O love, for delights!
Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, andi> the cedars of Lebanon, sayingi>, Since thouspan> artspan> laid down, no feller is come up against us.
All they shall speak and say unto thee, artspan> thouspan> also become weak as we? artspan> thouspan> become like unto us?
How artspan> thouspan> fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! howi> artspan> thouspan> cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
But thouspan> artspan> cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and asi> the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thouspan>, whole Palestina, artspan>i> dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall bei> alone in his appointed times.
The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thouspan> artspan> wholly gone up to the housetops?
thouspan> that artspan> full of stirs, a tumultuous city, a joyous city: thy slain men arei> not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
O LORD, thouspan> artspan>i> my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thouspan> hast done wonderful things; thyi> counsels of old arei> faithfulness andi> truth.
thouspan> hast increased the nation, O LORD, thouspan> hast increased the nation: thouspan> artspan> glorified: thouspan> hadst removed iti> far untoi> all the ends of the earth.
O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest betweeni> the cherubims, thouspan> artspan>i> the God, eveni> thouspan> alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thouspan> hast made heaven and earth.
Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thouspan> artspan>i> the LORD, eveni> thouspan> only.
But thouspan>, Israel, artspan>i> my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
thouspan>i> whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, thouspan> artspan>i> my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called theei> by thy name; thouspan> artspan>i> mine.
And the residue thereof he maketh a god, eveni> his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth iti>, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thouspan> artspan>i> my god.
Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thouspan> artspan>i> my servant: I have formed thee; thouspan> artspan>i> my servant: O Israel, thouspan> shalt not be forgotten of me.
Verily thouspan> artspan>i> a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
Therefore hear now this, thouspan> that artspan>i> given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I ami>, and none else beside me; I shall not sit asi> a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
thouspan> artspan> wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these thingsi> that shall come upon thee.
Because I knew that thouspan> artspan>i> obstinate, and thy neck isi> an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
And said unto me, thouspan> artspan>i> my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. artspan>i> thouspan> not it that hath cut Rahab, andi> wounded the dragon?
artspan>i> thouspan> not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
I, eveni> I, ami> he that comforteth you: who artspan>i> thouspan>, that thouspan> shouldest be afraid of a man thati> shall die, and of the son of man whichi> shall be made asi> grass;
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, thouspan> artspan>i> my people.
Behind the doors also and the posts hast thouspan> set up thy remembrance: for thouspan> hast discovered thyself to anotheri> than me, and artspan> gone up; thouspan> hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenanti> with them; thouspan> lovedst their bed where thouspan> sawest iti>.
thouspan> artspan> wearied in the greatness of thy way; yeti> saidst thouspan> not, There is no hope: thouspan> hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thouspan> wast not grieved.
Wherefore artspan> thouspan>i> red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
Doubtless thouspan> artspan>i> our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thouspan>, O LORD, artspan>i> our father, our redeemer; thy name isi> from everlasting.
thouspan> meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those thati> remember thee in thy ways: behold, thouspan> artspan> wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
But now, O LORD, thouspan> artspan>i> our father; we arei> the clay, and thouspan> our potter; and we all arei> the work of thy hand.
Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then artspan> thouspan> turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?
How canst thouspan> say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thouspan> hast done: thouspan> artspan>i> a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
Saying to a stock, thouspan> artspan>i> my father; and to a stone, thouspan> hast brought me forth: for they have turned theiri> back unto me, and not theiri> face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
Wilt thouspan> not from this time cry unto me, My father, thouspan> artspan>i> the guide of my youth?
Return, ye backsliding children, andi> I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thouspan> artspan>i> the LORD our God.
And wheni> thouspan> artspan>i> spoiled, what wilt thouspan> do? Though thouspan> clothest thyself with crimson, though thouspan> deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thouspan> rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thouspan> make thyself fair; thyi> lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.
Forasmuch as there isi> none like unto thee, O LORD; thouspan> artspan>i> great, and thy name isi> great in might.
Righteous artspan>i> thouspan>, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thyi> judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? whereforei> are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
thouspan> hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thouspan> artspan>i> near in their mouth, and far from their reins.
Why shouldest thouspan> be as a man astonied, as a mighty man thati> cannot save? yet thouspan>, O LORD, artspan>i> in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.
Are there anyi> among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? artspan>i> not thouspan> he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thouspan> hast made all these thingsi>.
thouspan> hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thouspan> artspan> gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thouspan> artspan>i> my praise.
Be not a terror unto me: thouspan> artspan>i> my hope in the day of evil.
O LORD, thouspan> hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thouspan> artspan> stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; thouspan> artspan>i> Gilead unto me, andi> the head of Lebanon: yeti> surely I will make thee a wilderness, andi> cities whichi> are not inhabited.
I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thusi>; thouspan> hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yokei>: turn thouspan> me, and I shall be turned; for thouspan> artspan>i> the LORD my God.
But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thouspan> shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thouspan> artspan>i> afraid.
For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment wasi> not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and artspan>i> thouspan> he thati> shall altogether go unpunished? thouspan> shalt not go unpunished, but thouspan> shalt surely drink of iti>.
I have laid a snare for thee, and thouspan> artspan> also taken, O Babylon, and thouspan> wast not aware: thouspan> artspan> found, and also caught, because thouspan> hast striven against the LORD.
thouspan> artspan>i> my battle axe andi> weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
But thouspan> hast utterly rejected us; thouspan> artspan> very wroth against us.
For thouspan> artspan>i> not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, buti> to the house of Israel;
I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thouspan> hast increased and waxen great, and thouspan> artspan> come to excellent ornaments: thyi> breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thouspan> wasti> naked and bare.
And the contrary is in thee from otheri> women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thouspan> givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thouspan> artspan> contrary.
thouspan> artspan>i> thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thouspan> artspan>i> the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother wasi> an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
That thouspan> mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thouspan> hast done, in that thouspan> artspan> a comfort unto them.
thouspan> artspan> become guilty in thy blood that thouspan> hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thouspan> hast made; and thouspan> hast caused thy days to draw near, and artspan> come eveni> unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.
Son of man, say unto her, thouspan> artspan>i> the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
I will do these thingsi> unto thee, because thouspan> hast gone a whoring after the heathen, andi> because thouspan> artspan> polluted with their idols.
And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How artspan> thouspan> destroyed, that wasti> inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to bei> on all that haunt it!
And say unto Tyrus, O thouspan> that artspan> situate at the entry of the sea, which artspan>i> a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thouspan> hast said, I ami> of perfect beauty.
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart isi> lifted up, and thouspan> hast said, I ami> a God, I sit ini> the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thouspan> artspan>i> a man, and not God, though thouspan> set thine heart as the heart of God:
Behold, thouspan> artspan>i> wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
thouspan> artspan>i> the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee soi>: thouspan> wast upon the holy mountain of God; thouspan> hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom artspan> thouspan> like in thy greatness?
To whom artspan> thouspan> thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thouspan> be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thouspan> shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that bei> slain by the sword. This isi> Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, thouspan> artspan> like a young lion of the nations, and thouspan> artspan>i> as a whale in the seas: and thouspan> camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.
And, lo, thouspan> artspan>i> unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, artspan> thouspan> come to take a spoil? hast thouspan> gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
Thus saith the Lord GOD; artspan>i> thouspan> he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days manyi> years that I would bring thee against them?
And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew themi> unto thee artspan>i> thouspan> brought hither: declare all that thouspan> seest to the house of Israel.
The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name wasi> Belteshazzar, artspan> thouspan> able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
thouspan>, O king, artspan>i> a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. thouspan> artspan>i> this head of gold.
This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thouspan>, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise meni> of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thouspan> artspan>i> able; for the spirit of the holy gods isi> in thee.
It isi> thouspan>, O king, that artspan> grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.

And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, wasi> not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? thouspan> artspan> filled with shame for glory: drink thouspan> also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD'S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall bei> on thy glory.

And they asked him, What then? artspan> thouspan> Elias? And he saith, I am not. artspan> thouspan> that prophet? And he answered, No.
Then said they unto him, Who artspan> thouspan>? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thouspan> of thyself?
And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, thouspan> artspan> Simon the son of Jona: thouspan> shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

artspan> thouspan> greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thouspan> thyself?
Then said the Jews unto him, thouspan> artspan> not yet fifty years old, and hast thouspan> seen Abraham?
Then they reviled him, and said, thouspan> artspan> his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thouspan> artspan> the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
That they all may be one; as thouspan>, Father, artspan>i> in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thouspan> hast sent me.

Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, artspan> thouspan> the King of the Jews?

Jesus answered, thouspan> sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence artspan> thouspan>? But Jesus gave him no answer.
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thouspan> let this man go, thouspan> artspan> not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
Jesus saith unto them, Come andi> dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who artspan> thouspan>? knowing that it was the Lord.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thouspan> artspan>i> God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
And he said, Who artspan> thouspan>, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thouspan> persecutest: it isi> hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thouspan> hast well done that thouspan> artspan> come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.
And they said unto her, thouspan> artspan> mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, thouspan> artspan> my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thouspan> artspan> come.
artspan> not thouspan> that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?
And I answered, Who artspan> thouspan>, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thouspan> persecutest.
Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, artspan> thouspan> a Roman? He said, Yea.
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, thouspan> artspan> permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
And I said, Who artspan> thouspan>, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thouspan> persecutest.
And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thouspan> artspan> beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
Therefore thouspan> artspan> inexcusable, O man, whosoever thouspan> artspan> that judgest: for wherein thouspan> judgest another, thouspan> condemnest thyself; for thouspan> that judgest doest the same things.
Behold, thouspan> artspan> called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
And artspan> confident that thouspan> thyself artspan> a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thouspan> mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thouspan> artspan> judged.
Nay but, O man, who artspan> thouspan> that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed iti>, Why hast thouspan> made me thus?
Who artspan> thouspan> that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
artspan> thouspan> called beingi> a servant? care not for it: but if thouspan> mayest be made free, use iti> rather.
artspan> thouspan> bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. artspan> thouspan> loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
Wherefore thouspan> artspan> no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thouspan> artspan> also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, thouspan> artspan> my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
And as a vesture shalt thouspan> fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thouspan> artspan> the same, and thy years shall not fail.
But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thouspan> artspan> mindful of him? or the son of man, that thouspan> visitest him?
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, thouspan> artspan> my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
As he saith also in another placei>, thouspan> artspan>i> a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
For he testifieth, thouspan> artspan>i> a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, thouspan> artspan>i> a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thouspan> the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thouspan> artspan> rebuked of him:
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thouspan> commit no adultery, yet if thouspan> kill, thouspan> artspan> become a transgressor of the law.
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of hisi> brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thouspan> judge the law, thouspan> artspan> not a doer of the law, but a judge.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who artspan> thouspan> that judgest another?
Remember therefore from whence thouspan> artspan> fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thouspan> repent.
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thouspan> artspan> rich) and I knowi> the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but arei> the synagogue of Satan.
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thouspan> hast a name that thouspan> livest, and artspan> dead.
I know thy works, that thouspan> artspan> neither cold nor hot: I would thouspan> wert cold or hot.
So then because thouspan> artspan> lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thouspan> sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thouspan> artspan> wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
thouspan> artspan> worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thouspan> hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
And they sung a new song, saying, thouspan> artspan> worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thouspan> wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which artspan>, and wast, and artspan> to come; because thouspan> hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thouspan>i> only artspan>i> holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
And I heard the angel of the waters say, thouspan> artspan> righteous, O Lord, which artspan>, and wast, and shalt be, because thouspan> hast judged thus.
