2 Thessalonians 1:2-12
Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: read more Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. show less |

Ecclesiastes 2:26
For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit. |

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. |

Job 34:29
When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: |
||
And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the lord giveth you.
See, for that the lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the lord thy God giveth thee.
And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the lord, all that any man giveth of such unto the lord shall be holy. He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy. And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the lord, then he shall present the beast before the priest: And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be. read more But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation. And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the lord, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand. And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his. And if a man shall sanctify unto the lord some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver. If he sanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it shall stand. But if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation. And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him. And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more. But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the lord, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's. And if a man sanctify unto the lord a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession; Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the lord. In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong. And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel. Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the lord'S firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the lord'S. And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation. show less
(As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the lord our God giveth us.
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the lord God of your fathers giveth you.
Furthermore the lord was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as the lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the lord thy God giveth thee.
But thou shalt remember the lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Understand therefore, that the lord thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
And then the lord'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the lord giveth you.
For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the lord your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.
These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the lord your God giveth you.
But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the lord your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:
If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the lord thy God giveth thee:
Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the lord thy God giveth thee.
If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the lord thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the lord thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
When thou art come unto the land which the lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
When thou art come into the land which the lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the lord: and because of these abominations the lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
When the lord thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the lord thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.
Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the lord thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.
That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.
If one be found slain in the land which the lord thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him:
His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the lord: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the lord thy God giveth thee.
Therefore it shall be, when the lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the lord thy God shall choose to place his name there.
And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the lord thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
the lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the lord thy God giveth thee.
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the lord your God giveth you to possess it.
Until the lord have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the lord your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the lord'S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
Wilt not thou possess that which Chemosh thy god giveth thee to possess? So whomsoever the lord our God shall drive out from before us, them will we possess.
Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. the lord looseth the prisoners:
Thus saith God the lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
Thus saith the lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; the lord of hosts is his name:
He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our lord Jesus Christ.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
