And David said unto Achish, if i have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that i may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?

{A Song of degrees of David.} if <i>it hadi> not <i>beeni> the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
Inquire, i pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.
if so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that i may repent me of the evil, which i purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
if i cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write <i>iti> in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if i will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that <i>there shalli> not <i>be roomi> enough <i>to receive iti>.
But if he will not hear <i>thee, theni> take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

But if i do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father <i>isi> in me, and i in him.
And if i go and prepare a place for you, i will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where i am, <i>therei> ye may be also.
For if i be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, i refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. i appeal unto Caesar.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with <i>himi>, that we may be also glorified together.
if by any means i may provoke to emulation <i>them which arei> my flesh, and might save some of them.
Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as i also <i>doi>.
But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that i may not overcharge you all.
But i beseech <i>youi>, that i may not be bold when i am present with that confidence, wherewith i think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
i say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that i may boast myself a little. That which i speak, i speak <i>iti> not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. Seeing that many glory after the flesh, i will glory also. For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye <i>yourselvesi> are wise. read more For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour <i>youi>, if a man take <i>of youi>, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face. i speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Thrice was i beaten with rods, once was i stoned, thrice i suffered shipwreck, a night and a day i have been in the deep; <i>Ini> journeyings often, <i>ini> perils of waters, <i>ini> perils of robbers, <i>ini> perils by <i>mine owni> countrymen, <i>ini> perils by the heathen, <i>ini> perils in the city, <i>ini> perils in the wilderness, <i>ini> perils in the sea, <i>ini> perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and i am not weak? who is offended, and i burn not? if i must needs glory, i will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
