i am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
For i am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and i am left alone, and they seek my life.
i know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that <i>there isi> nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him <i>it isi> unclean.
and i myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
and i am sure that, when i come unto you, i shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
For your obedience is come abroad unto all <i>meni>. i am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet i would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
Now this i say, that every one of you saith, i am of Paul; and i of Apollos; and i of Cephas; and i of Christ.
For while one saith, i am of Paul; and another, i <i>ami> of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
and if the ear shall say, Because i am not the eye, i am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
Though i speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, i am become <i>asi> sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. and though i have <i>the gift ofi> prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though i have all faith, so that i could remove mountains, and have not charity, i am nothing. and though i bestow all my goods to feed <i>the poori>, and though i give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, <i>andi> is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, read more Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether <i>there bei> prophecies, they shall fail; whether <i>there bei> tongues, they shall cease; whether <i>there bei> knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When i was a child, i spake as a child, i understood as a child, i thought as a child: but when i became a man, i put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now i know in part; but then shall i know even as also i am known. and now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these <i>isi> charity. show less
and though i have <i>the gift ofi> prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though i have all faith, so that i could remove mountains, and have not charity, i am nothing.
But by the grace of God i am what i am: and his grace which <i>was bestowedi> upon me was not in vain; but i laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not i, but the grace of God which was with me.
i am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
Now i Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence <i>ami> base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
Behold, the third time i am ready to come to you; and i will not be burdensome to you: for i seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
i am crucified with Christ: nevertheless i live; yet not i, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which i now live in the flesh i live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
But <i>it isi> good to be zealously affected always in <i>ai> good <i>thingi>, and not only when i am present with you.
For i am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
i know both how to be abased, and i know how to abound: every where and in all things i am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
But i have all, and abound: i am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things <i>which were senti> from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and <i>bei> not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, <i>andi> which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof i Paul am made a minister;
For though i be absent in the flesh, yet am i with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
This <i>isi> a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom i am chief.
Whereunto i am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (i speak the truth in Christ, <i>andi> lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
When i call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and i am persuaded that in thee also.
For the which cause i also suffer these things: nevertheless i am not ashamed: for i know whom i have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which i have committed unto him against that day.
The elders which are among you i exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight <i>thereofi>, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over <i>God'si> heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. and when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. read more Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all <i>of youi> be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. show less
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom i am well pleased.
i am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
i John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Saying, i am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send <i>iti> unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
and when i saw him, i fell at his feet as dead. and he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; i am the first and the last:
<i>i ami> he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, i am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
and i will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that i am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and i will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Because thou sayest, i am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
To him that overcometh will i grant to sit with me in my throne, even as i also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, i sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
and i fell at his feet to worship him. and he said unto me, See <i>thou do iti> not: i am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
and he said unto me, It is done. i am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. i will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Then saith he unto me, See <i>thou do iti> not: for i am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
i Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. i am the root and the offspring of David, <i>andi> the bright and morning star.
