Jeremiah 30:1-38:22
The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. read more For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it. show less |

And Moses said, This shall be, when The LORD shall give you in The evening flesh to eat, and in The morning bread to The full; for that The LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against The LORD. And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all The congregation Of The children Of Israel, Come near before The LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings. And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto The whole congregation Of The children Of Israel, that they looked toward The wilderness, and, behold, The glory Of The LORD appeared in The cloud. And The LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I have heard The murmurings Of The children Of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in The morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am The LORD your God. And it came to pass, that at even The quails came up, and covered The camp: and in The morning The dew lay round about The host. And when The dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon The face Of The wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as The hoar frost on The ground. And when The children Of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is The bread which The LORD hath given you to eat. This is The thing which The LORD hath commanded, Gather Of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to The number Of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. And The children Of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. And Moses said, Let no man leave Of it till The morning. Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some Of them left Of it until The morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. And they laid it up till The morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto The LORD: to day ye shall not find it in The field. Six days ye shall gather it; but on The seventh day, which is The sabbath, in it there shall be none. And it came to pass, that there went out some Of The people on The seventh day for to gather, and they found none. And The thing pleased The children Of Israel; and The children Of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy The Land wherein The children Of Reuben and Gad dwelt.
And when Joshua had let The people go, The children Of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess The Land. And The people served The LORD all The days Of Joshua, and all The days Of The elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all The great works Of The LORD, that he did for Israel. And Joshua The son Of Nun, The servant Of The LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old. And they buried him in The border Of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in The mount Of Ephraim, on The north side Of The hill Gaash. read more And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not The LORD, nor yet The works which he had done for Israel. And The children Of Israel did evil in The sight Of The LORD, and served Baalim: And they forsook The LORD God Of their fathers, which brought them out Of The Land Of Egypt, and followed other gods, Of The gods Of The people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked The LORD to anger. And they forsook The LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth. And The anger Of The LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into The hands Of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into The hands Of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. Whithersoever they went out, The hand Of The LORD was against them for evil, as The LORD had said, and as The LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed. Nevertheless The LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out Of The hand Of those that spoiled them. And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out Of The way which their fathers walked in, obeying The commandments Of The LORD; but they did not so. And when The LORD raised them up judges, then The LORD was with The judge, and delivered them out Of The hand Of their enemies all The days Of The judge: for it repented The LORD because Of their groanings by reason Of them that oppressed them and vexed them. And it came to pass, when The judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. And The anger Of The LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them Of The nations which Joshua left when he died: That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep The way Of The LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not. Therefore The LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into The hand Of Joshua. show less
So Moab was subdued that day under The hand Of Israel. And The Land had rest fourscore years.
And that year they vexed and oppressed The children Of Israel: eighteen years, all The children Of Israel that were on The other side Jordan in The Land Of The Amorites, which is in Gilead.
And it was so, that when The children Of Ammon made war against Israel, The elders Of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out Of The Land Of Tob:
And The king Of The children Of Ammon answered unto The messengers Of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my Land, when they came up out Of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably.
And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel took not away The Land Of Moab, nor The Land Of The children Of Ammon:
Then Israel sent messengers unto The king Of Edom, saying, Let me, I pray thee, pass through thy Land: but The king Of Edom would not hearken thereto. And in like manner they sent unto The king Of Moab: but he would not consent: and Israel abode in Kadesh.
And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king Of The Amorites, The king Of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray thee, through thy Land into my place.
And The LORD God Of Israel delivered Sihon and all his people into The hand Of Israel, and they smote them: so Israel possessed all The Land Of The Amorites, The inhabitants Of that country.
And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from The day that The children Of Israel came up out Of The Land Of Egypt unto this day: consider Of it, take advice, and speak your minds.
Then all The children Of Israel went out, and The congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with The Land Of Gilead, unto The LORD in Mizpeh.
Wherefore ye shall make images Of your emerods, and images Of your mice that mar The Land; and ye shall give glory unto The God Of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your Land.
To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out Of The Land Of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out Of The hand Of The Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
Now there was no smith found throughout all The Land Of Israel: for The Philistines said, Lest The Hebrews make them swords or spears:
And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by The hand Of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into The Land Of The Philistines; and Saul shall despair Of me, to seek me any more in any coast Of Israel: so shall I escape out Of his hand.
Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and The wizards, out Of The Land.
And all The people were at strife throughout all The tribes Of Israel, saying, The king saved us out Of The hand Of our enemies, and he delivered us out Of The hand Of The Philistines; and now he is fled out Of The Land for Absalom.
And it came to pass in The four hundred and eightieth year after The children Of Israel were come out Of The Land Of Egypt, in The fourth year Of Solomon's reign over Israel, in The month Zif, which is The second month, that he began to build The house Of The LORD.
There was nothing in The ark save The two tables Of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when The LORD made a covenant with The children Of Israel, when they came out Of The Land Of Egypt.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive The sin Of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto The Land which thou gavest unto their fathers.
Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive The sin Of thy servants, and Of thy people Israel, that thou teach them The good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy Land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.
Then will I cut off Israel out Of The Land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out Of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
Their children that were left after them in The Land, whom The children Of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute Of bondservice unto this day.
Whereupon The king took counsel, and made two calves Of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out Of The Land Of Egypt.
For The LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in The water, and he shall root up Israel out Of this good Land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond The river, because they have made their groves, provoking The LORD to anger.
And there were also sodomites in The Land: and they did according to all The abominations Of The nations which The LORD cast out before The children Of Israel.
So Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent The captains Of The hosts which he had against The cities Of Israel, and smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelbethmaachah, and all Cinneroth, with all The Land Of Naphtali.
Then The king Of Israel called all The elders Of The Land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.
And The Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out Of The Land Of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said The maid that is Of The Land Of Israel.
And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So The bands Of Syria came no more into The Land Of Israel.
And Menahem exacted The money Of Israel, even Of all The mighty men Of wealth, Of each man fifty shekels Of silver, to give to The king Of Assyria. So The king Of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in The Land.
In The days Of Pekah king Of Israel came Tiglathpileser king Of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all The Land Of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
For so it was, that The children Of Israel had sinned against The LORD their God, which had brought them up out Of The Land Of Egypt, from under The hand Of Pharaoh king Of Egypt, and had feared other gods, And walked in The statutes Of The heathen, whom The LORD cast out from before The children Of Israel, and Of The kings Of Israel, which they had made. And The children Of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against The LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from The tower Of The watchmen to The fenced city. And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: read more And there they burnt incense in all The high places, as did The heathen whom The LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke The LORD to anger: For they served idols, whereof The LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. Yet The LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all The prophets, and by all The seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all The law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants The prophets. Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to The neck Of their fathers, that did not believe in The LORD their God. And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after The heathen that were round about them, concerning whom The LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them. And they left all The commandments Of The LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all The host Of heaven, and served Baal. And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through The fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in The sight Of The LORD, to provoke him to anger. Therefore The LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out Of his sight: there was none left but The tribe Of Judah only. Also Judah kept not The commandments Of The LORD their God, but walked in The statutes Of Israel which they made. And The LORD rejected all The seed Of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into The hand Of spoilers, until he had cast them out Of his sight. For he rent Israel from The house Of David; and they made Jeroboam The son Of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following The LORD, and made them sin a great sin. For The children Of Israel walked in all The sins Of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; Until The LORD removed Israel out Of his sight, as he had said by all his servants The prophets. So was Israel carried away out Of their own Land to Assyria unto this day. show less
Until The LORD removed Israel out Of his sight, as he had said by all his servants The prophets. So was Israel carried away out Of their own Land to Assyria unto this day.
Neither will I make The feet Of Israel move any more out Of The Land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all The law that my servant Moses commanded them.
Now these are The kings that reigned in The Land Of Edom before any king reigned over The children Of Israel; Bela The son Of Beor: and The name Of his city was Dinhabah.
And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where The Jebusites were, The inhabitants Of The Land.
And David said unto all The congregation Of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be Of The LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all The Land Of Israel, and with them also to The priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:
Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that The sword Of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days The sword Of The LORD, even The pestilence, in The Land, and The angel Of The LORD destroying throughout all The coasts Of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
And David commanded to gather together The strangers that were in The Land Of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build The house Of God.
Now therefore in The sight Of all Israel The congregation Of The LORD, and in The audience Of our God, keep and seek for all The commandments Of The LORD your God: that ye may possess this good Land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
And Solomon numbered all The strangers that were in The Land Of Israel, after The numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
Since The day that I brought forth my people out Of The Land Of Egypt I chose no city among all The tribes Of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
Then hear thou from The heavens, and forgive The sin Of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto The Land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.
Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive The sin Of thy servants, and Of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them The good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy Land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.
But Of their children, who were left after them in The Land, whom The children Of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
Art not thou our God, who didst drive out The inhabitants Of this Land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to The seed Of Abraham thy friend for ever?
And now, behold, The children Of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out Of The Land Of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;
And all The congregation Of Judah, with The priests and The Levites, and all The congregation that came out Of Israel, and The strangers that came out Of The Land Of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.
Neither will I any more remove The foot Of Israel from out Of The Land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to The whole law and The statutes and The ordinances by The hand Of Moses.
And when he had broken down The altars and The groves, and had beaten The graven images into powder, and cut down all The idols throughout all The Land Of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.
And The children Of Israel, which were come again out Of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from The filthiness Of The heathen Of The Land, to seek The LORD God Of Israel, did eat,
And Shechaniah The son Of Jehiel, one Of The sons Of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives Of The people Of The Land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
And there shall be an highway for The remnant Of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in The day that he came up out Of The Land Of Egypt.
For The LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own Land: and The strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to The house Of Jacob.
And The people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and The house Of Israel shall possess them in The Land Of The LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.
In that day shall Israel be The third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in The midst Of The Land:
O generation, see ye The word Of The LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a Land Of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?
In those days The house Of Judah shall walk with The house Of Israel, and they shall come together out Of The Land Of The north to The Land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.
Thus saith The LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch The inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out Of their Land, and pluck out The house Of Judah from among them.
O The hope Of Israel, The saviour thereof in time Of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in The Land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?
Therefore, behold, The days come, saith The LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up The children Of Israel out Of The Land Of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, that brought up The children Of Israel from The Land Of The north, and from all The lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their Land that I gave unto their fathers.
Therefore, behold, The days come, saith The LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up The children Of Israel out Of The Land Of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led The seed Of The house Of Israel out Of The north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own Land.
Thus saith The LORD, The God Of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive Of Judah, whom I have sent out Of this place into The Land Of The Chaldeans for their good.
For, lo, The days come, saith The LORD, that I will bring again The captivity Of my people Israel and Judah, saith The LORD: and I will cause them to return to The Land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
Thus saith The LORD Of hosts, The God Of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in The Land Of Judah and in The cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation Of justice, and mountain Of holiness.
For thus saith The LORD Of hosts, The God Of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this Land.
Which hast set signs and wonders in The Land Of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day;
And hast brought forth thy people Israel out Of The Land Of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;
Thus saith The LORD, The God Of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in The day that I brought them forth out Of The Land Of Egypt, out Of The house Of bondmen, saying,
Thus saith The LORD, The God Of Israel; Thus shall ye say to The king Of Judah, that sent you unto me to inquire Of me; Behold, Pharaoh's army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own Land.
But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from The Land Of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
Therefore thus saith The LORD Of hosts, The God Of Israel; Behold, I will punish The king Of Babylon and his Land, as I have punished The king Of Assyria.
For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah Of his God, Of The LORD Of hosts; though their Land was filled with sin against The Holy One Of Israel.
Also, thou son Of man, thus saith The Lord GOD unto The Land Of Israel; An end, The end is come upon The four corners Of The Land.
Then said he unto me, The iniquity Of The house Of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and The Land is full Of blood, and The city full Of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken The earth, and The LORD seeth not.
Son Of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, The men Of thy kindred, and all The house Of Israel wholly, are they unto whom The inhabitants Of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from The LORD: unto us is this Land given in possession.
Therefore say, Thus saith The Lord GOD; I will even gather you from The people, and assemble you out Of The countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you The Land Of Israel.
And say unto The people Of The Land, Thus saith The Lord GOD Of The inhabitants Of Jerusalem, and Of The Land Of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her Land may be desolate from all that is therein, because Of The violence Of all them that dwell therein.
Son Of man, what is that proverb that ye have in The Land Of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?
And mine hand shall be upon The prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in The assembly Of my people, neither shall they be written in The writing Of The house Of Israel, neither shall they enter into The Land Of Israel; and ye shall know that I am The Lord GOD.
What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning The Land Of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and The children's teeth are set on edge?
And say unto them, Thus saith The Lord GOD; In The day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto The seed Of The house Of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in The Land Of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am The LORD your God;
And I will purge out from among you The rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out Of The country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into The Land Of Israel: and ye shall know that I am The LORD.
For in mine holy mountain, in The mountain Of The height Of Israel, saith The Lord GOD, there shall all The house Of Israel, all Of them in The Land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and The firstfruits Of your oblations, with all your holy things.
And ye shall know that I am The LORD, when I shall bring you into The Land Of Israel, into The country for The which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
Son Of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward The holy places, and prophesy against The Land Of Israel,
And say to The Land Of Israel, Thus saith The LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out Of his sheath, and will cut off from thee The righteous and The wicked.
And say unto The Ammonites, Hear The word Of The Lord GOD; Thus saith The Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against The Land Of Israel, when it was desolate; and against The house Of Judah, when they went into captivity;
For thus saith The Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with The feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against The Land Of Israel;
Judah, and The Land Of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat Of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.
Thus saith The Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered The house Of Israel from The people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in The sight Of The heathen, then shall they dwell in their Land that I have given to my servant Jacob.
Son Of man, they that inhabit those wastes Of The Land Of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited The Land: but we are many; The Land is given us for inheritance.
For I will lay The Land most desolate, and The pomp Of her strength shall cease; and The mountains Of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through.
And I will bring them out from The people, and gather them from The countries, and will bring them to their own Land, and feed them upon The mountains Of Israel by The rivers, and in all The inhabited places Of The country.
Prophesy therefore concerning The Land Of Israel, and say unto The mountains, and to The hills, to The rivers, and to The valleys, Thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne The shame Of The heathen:
Son Of man, when The house Of Israel dwelt in their own Land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as The uncleanness Of a removed woman.
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out Of your graves, and bring you into The Land Of Israel.
And say unto them, Thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, I will take The children Of Israel from among The heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own Land:
And I will make them one nation in The Land upon The mountains Of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
After many days thou shalt be visited: in The latter years thou shalt come into The Land that is brought back from The sword, and is gathered out Of many people, against The mountains Of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out Of The nations, and they shall dwell safely all Of them.
And thou shalt come up against my people Of Israel, as a cloud to cover The Land; it shall be in The latter days, and I will bring thee against my Land, that The heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
And it shall come to pass at The same time when Gog shall come against The Land Of Israel, saith The Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
For in my jealousy and in The fire Of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in The Land Of Israel;
And seven months shall The house Of Israel be burying Of them, that they may cleanse The Land.
In The visions Of God brought he me into The Land Of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as The frame Of a city on The south.
In The Land shall be his possession in Israel: and my princes shall no more oppress my people; and The rest Of The Land shall they give to The house Of Israel according to their tribes.
Thus saith The Lord GOD; This shall be The border, whereby ye shall inherit The Land according to The twelve tribes Of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.
And The east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from The Land Of Israel by Jordan, from The border unto The east sea. And this is The east side.
This is The Land which ye shall divide by lot unto The tribes Of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith The Lord GOD.
Then shall The children Of Judah and The children Of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out Of The Land: for great shall be The day Of Jezreel.
Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to The multitude Of his fruit he hath increased The altars; according to The goodness Of his Land they have made goodly images.
Hear this word that The LORD hath spoken against you, O children Of Israel, against The whole family which I brought up from The Land Of Egypt, saying,
The virgin Of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her Land; there is none to raise her up.
Then Amaziah The priest Of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king Of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in The midst Of The house Of Israel: The Land is not able to bear all his words.
For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by The sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out Of their own Land.
Are ye not as children Of The Ethiopians unto me, O children Of Israel? saith The LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out Of The Land Of Egypt? and The Philistines from Caphtor, and The Syrians from Kir?
The burden Of The word Of The LORD in The Land Of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be The rest thereof: when The eyes Of man, as Of all The tribes Of Israel, shall be toward The LORD.
And thou Bethlehem, in The Land Of Juda, art not The least among The princes Of Juda: for out Of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
Saying, Arise, and take The young child and his mother, and go into The Land Of Israel: for they are dead which sought The young child's life.
And he arose, and took The young child and his mother, and came into The Land Of Israel.
But I tell you Of a truth, many widows were in Israel in The days Of Elias, when The heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all The Land;
The God Of this people Of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted The people when they dwelt as strangers in The Land Of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out Of it.
