Daniel 8:21-27
[21] And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. [22] Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. [23] And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. [24] And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. [25] And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. [26] And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. [27] And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it. |

And Moses diligently sought The Goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
And Aaron shall bring The Goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
But The Goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
Then shall he kill The Goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of The Goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of The Goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
And The Goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go The Goat in the wilderness.
And he that let go The Goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

And when he hath made an end of reconciling The holy place, and The tabernacle of The congregation, and The altar, he shall bring The live Goat:
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon The head of The live Goat, and confess over him all The iniquities of The children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon The head of The Goat, and shall send him away by The hand of a fit man into The wilderness:
And The Goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go The Goat in The wilderness.
