He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him That Day: for it was about the tenth hour.
The Jews therefore said unto him That was cured, It is the sabbath Day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
The Day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw That there was none other boat there, save That one whereinto his disciples were entered, and That Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but That his disciples were gone away alone; (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after That the Lord had given thanks:) When the people therefore saw That Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? read more Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for That meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. Then said they unto him, What shall we do, That we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, That ye believe on him whom he hath sent. They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, That we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work? Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not That bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he That cometh to me shall never hunger; and he That believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All That the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him That cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him That sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, That of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last Day. And this is the will of him That sent me, That every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last Day. The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then That he saith, I came down from heaven? Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last Day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore That hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not That any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He That believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am That bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, That a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread That I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last Day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He That eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he That eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is That bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he That eateth of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. show less
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, That of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last Day.
And this is the will of him That sent me, That every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last Day.
If a man on the sabbath Day receive circumcision, That the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath Day?
In the last Day, That great Day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
I must work the works of him That sent me, while it is Day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath Day. Others said, How can a man That is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
Martha saith unto him, I know That he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last Day.
On the next Day much people That were come to the feast, when they heard That Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
He That rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one That judgeth him: the word That I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last Day.
And in That Day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
At That Day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, That I will pray the Father for you:
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, That the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath Day, (for That sabbath Day was an high Day,) besought Pilate That their legs might be broken, and That they might be taken away.
Until the Day in which he was taken up, after That he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
Beginning from the baptism of John, unto That same Day That he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, That he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this Day.
For they That dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath Day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in That he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this Day have I begotten thee.
For Moses of old time hath in every city them That preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath Day.
Because he hath appointed a Day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by That man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in That he hath raised him from the dead.
And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first Day That I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
Therefore watch, and remember, That by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and Day with tears.
And it came to pass, That after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the Day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
Then Paul took the men, and the next Day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until That an offering should be offered for every one of them.
And when it was Day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying That they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
Except it be for this one voice, That I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this Day.
And Paul said, I would to God, That not only thou, but also all That hear me this Day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
And while the Day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This Day is the fourteenth Day That ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.
(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes That they should not see, and ears That they should not hear;) unto this Day.
He That regardeth the Day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he That regardeth not the Day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He That eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he That eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, That ye may be blameless in the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, That the spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord Jesus.
And That he was buried, and That he rose again the third Day according to the scriptures:
Upon the first Day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, That there be no gatherings when I come.
As also ye have acknowledged us in part, That we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the Day of the Lord Jesus.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, That ye may be able to withstand in the evil Day, and having done all, to stand.
Being confident of this very thing, That he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ:
That ye may approve things That are excellent; That ye may be sincere and without offence till the Day of Christ;
Holding forth the word of life; That I may rejoice in the Day of Christ, That I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
For this cause we also, since the Day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire That ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Night and Day praying exceedingly That we might see your face, and might perfect That which is lacking in your faith?
For yourselves know perfectly That the Day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, That That Day should overtake you as a thief.
When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them That believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in That Day.
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as That the Day of Christ is at hand.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for That Day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and That man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and Day, That we might not be chargeable to any of you:
Now she That is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and Day.
I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, That without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and Day;
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded That he is able to keep That which I have committed unto him against That Day.
The Lord grant unto him That he may find mercy of the Lord in That Day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at That Day: and not to me only, but unto all them also That love his appearing.
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he That said unto him, Thou art my Son, to Day have I begotten thee.
Not according to the covenant That I made with their fathers in the Day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Go to now, ye That say, To Day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: That, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the Day of visitation.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well That ye take heed, as unto a light That shineth in a dark place, until the Day dawn, and the Day star arise in your hearts:
(For That righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from Day to Day with their unlawful deeds;)
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they That count it pleasure to riot in the Day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, That one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one Day.
But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works That are therein shall be burned up.
Herein is our love made perfect, That we may have boldness in the Day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him Day and night in his temple: and he That sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of That great Day of God Almighty.
And the devil That deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented Day and night for ever and ever.
