Hosea 11:8
How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together. |
Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God To Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.
And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came To Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought To see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.
And it came To pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say To me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done To you in Egypt:
And they shall hearken To thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice To the LORD our God.
And the children of Israel said unto them, Would To God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread To the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, To kill this whole assembly with hunger.
And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, To eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say To the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate To gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel To dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, To bring you near To himself To do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and To stand before the congregation To minister unto them?
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according To this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according To their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land To possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for To do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.
Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe To do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but To fear the LORD thy God, To walk in all his ways, and To love him, and To serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth To minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
When all Israel is come To appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against To morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory To the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.
And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack To go To possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, To turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD?
And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying, In time To come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye To do with the LORD God of Israel?
And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend To go up against them in battle, To destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt.
And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel To Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.
Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise To the LORD God of Israel.
And it came To pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their God.
For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no rasor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin To deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
And the children of Israel arose, and went up To the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first To the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.
And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began To smite of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up To the house of God, and the other To Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel.
And said, O LORD God of Israel, why is this come To pass in Israel, that there should be To day one tribe lacking in Israel?
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come To trust.
And it came To pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
Therefore they sent the ark of God To Ekron. And it came To pass, as the ark of God came To Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel To us, To slay us and our people.
So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again To his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.
And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known To you why his hand is not removed from you.
And the children of Israel said To Samuel, Cease not To cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.
(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went To inquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go To the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
And Samuel said To Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall To the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
And David spake To the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done To the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
Then said David To the Philistine, Thou comest To me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come To thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and To the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about To morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;
Then said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh To come To Keilah, To destroy the city for my sake.
And David said To Abigail, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day To meet me: And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming To shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand. For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come To meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall. So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in peace To thine house; see, I have hearkened To thy voice, and have accepted thy person.
For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come To meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went To redeem for a people To himself, and To make him a name, and To do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst To thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
For thou hast confirmed To thyself thy people Israel To be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.
For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed To thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart To pray this prayer unto thee.
And Nathan said To David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake To me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.
And also thus said the king, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which hath given one To sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.
And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, To do judgment.
And it was in the heart of David my father To build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight To sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed To their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, To set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, To do judgment and justice.
And he said To Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes To thee:
And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come To the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.
Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel To anger.
For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel To sin, in provoking the LORD God of Israel To anger with their vanities.
For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel To sin, To provoke the LORD God of Israel To anger with their vanities.
And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more To provoke the LORD God of Israel To anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according To my word.
And it came To pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, To take it away.

And they said unto him, There came a man up To meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest To inquire of Baalzebub the God of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers To inquire of Baalzebub the God of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel To inquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
And it came To pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, To kill and To make alive, that this man doth send unto me To recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent To the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now To me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
And he returned To the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
And the king of Israel sent To the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
But Jehu took no heed To walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel To sin.
He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according To the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.
And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen To the fenced city.
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent To Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed To me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.
And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you To me,
But To the king of Judah which sent you To inquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say To him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and To the river Gozan, unto this day.
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and To make an atonement for Israel, according To all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also To the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:
So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, To bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.
And David went up, and all Israel, To Baalah, that is, To Kirjathjearim, which belonged To Judah, To bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.
So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves To bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
And he appointed certain of the Levites To minister before the ark of the LORD, and To record, and To thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went To redeem To be his own people, To make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God To Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.
And David commanded To gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons To hew wrought stones To build the house of God.
Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him To build an house for the LORD God of Israel.
These were the orderings of them in their service To come into the house of the LORD, according To their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.
Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father To be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah To be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me To make me king over all Israel:
Behold, I build an house To the name of the LORD my God, To dedicate it To him, and To burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever To Israel.
Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given To David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth To my father David, saying,
Now it was in the heart of David my father To build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight To sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed To their way To walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee To set thee on his throne, To be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, To establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, To do judgment and justice.
And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts To seek the LORD God of Israel came To Jerusalem, To sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.
Ought ye not To know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel To David for ever, even To him and To his sons by a covenant of salt?
And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets To cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came To pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell To him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put To death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
But sought To the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go To Ramothgilead To battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king's hand.
And it came To pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him To fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them To depart from him.
Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it To the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up To praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.
And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said To them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money To repair the house of your God from year To year, and see that ye hasten the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it not.
And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, To bring in To the LORD the collection that Moses the servant of God laid upon Israel in the wilderness.
But there came a man of God To him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, To wit, with all the children of Ephraim.
And Amaziah said To the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given To the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able To give thee much more than this.
Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them To Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
Now it is in mine heart To make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.
And Hezekiah sent To all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also To Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come To the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, To keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.
So they established a decree To make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even To Dan, that they should come To keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according To the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return To the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
He wrote also letters To rail on the LORD God of Israel, and To speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said To David and To Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah To serve the LORD God of Israel.
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake To him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
And when they came To Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had gathered of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned To Jerusalem.
And she answered them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell ye the man that sent you To me,
And as for the king of Judah, who sent you To inquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou hast heard;
And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained To the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel To serve, even To serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.
Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up To Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, To offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing To do with us To build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the LORD God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.
And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according To the commandment of the God of Israel, and according To the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according To the number of the tribes of Israel.
And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, To seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,
This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according To the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
And To carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellers have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,

For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings To make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause To sin.

Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake To visit all the heathen: be not merciful To any wicked transgressors. Selah.

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting To everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed To me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:
Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee To profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb To be his servant, To bring Jacob again To him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
The Lord God which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others To him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, To bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and To the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you To dwell in this place.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall To drink.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause To cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, To whom I send thee, To drink it.
And command them To say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused To be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken To your dreams which ye cause To be dreamed.
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and To Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and To all the priests, saying,
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak To Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction To hearken To my words? saith the LORD.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man To stand before me for ever.
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say To the king of Judah, that sent you unto me To inquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh's army, which is come forth To help you, shall return To Egypt into their own land.
Go and speak To Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.
And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me To present your supplication before him;
And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces To enter into Egypt, and go To sojourn there;
Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, To cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, To leave you none To remain;
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and To cut off all Judah.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, To burn incense To the queen of heaven, and To pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time To thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God To the mountains, and To the hills, To the rivers, and To the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according To the vision that I saw in the plain.
And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, To the threshold of the house. And he called To the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
And it came To pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
And it came To pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God; I will make this proverb To cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord God.
Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh To the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according To the multitude of his idols;
As I live, saith the Lord God, ye shall not have occasion any more To use this proverb in Israel.
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according To his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye come To inquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.
For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons To pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.
And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according To your wicked ways, nor according To your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according To mine anger and according To my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord God.
Thus saith the Lord God; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given To my servant Jacob.
And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity To remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord God.
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be To the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God To the mountains, and To the hills, To the rivers, and To the valleys, To the desolate wastes, and To the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision To the residue of the heathen that are round about;
Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and To the hills, To the rivers, and To the valleys, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:
Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, To do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you To come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
And it shall come To pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face.
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and To every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side To my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
And thou shalt say To the rebellious, even To the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel To fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord God, and they shall bear their iniquity.
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near To me To minister unto me, and they shall stand before me To offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord God:
And one lamb out of the flock, out of two hundred, out of the fat pastures of Israel; for a meat offering, and for a burnt offering, and for peace offerings, To make reconciliation for them, saith the Lord God.
Thus saith the Lord God; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according To the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.
Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come To pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
And the pride of Israel testifieth To his face: and they do not return To the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.
Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare To meet thy God, O Israel.
For thus saith the Lord God; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, To the house of Israel.
For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed To your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb To speak, the maimed To be whole, the lame To walk, and the blind To see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
Of this man's seed hath God according To his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession To God against Israel, saying,
And as many as walk according To this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be To them a God, and they shall be To me a people:
