Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. |

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? |

1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. |

1 Corinthians 11:7
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. |

Genesis 2:4-25
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. read more And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. show less |

Revelation 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. |
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
And the LORD God said, It Is not good that the Man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the Man Is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
This Is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created Man, in the likeness of God made he him;
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead Man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she Is a Man's wife.
If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt take other wives beside my daughters, no Man Is with us; see, God Is witness betwixt me and thee.
And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this Is, a Man in whom the Spirit of God Is?
And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the Man in whose hand the cup Is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this Man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt Is destroyed?
God Is not a Man, that he should lie; neither the son of Man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of Man; for the judgment Is God's: and the cause that Is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created Man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing Is, or hath been heard like it?
Every Man shall give as he Is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.
And this Is the blessing, wherewith Moses the Man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any Man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he Is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
One Man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it Is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
And his fellow answered and said, This Is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a Man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.
And he said unto him, Behold now, there Is in this city a Man of God, and he Is an honourable Man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.
Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the Man? for the bread Is spent in our vessels, and there Is not a present to bring to the Man of God: what have we?
(Beforetime in Israel, when a Man went to inquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that Is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a Man, who Is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God Is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the Man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who Is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
Yet a Man Is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.
And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And Is this the manner of Man, O Lord God?
And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It Is the Man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him.
And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the Man of God Is buried; lay my bones beside his bones:
And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a Man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth Is truth.
And there came a Man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD Is God of the hills, but he Is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
And they said unto him, There came a Man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there Is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to inquire of Baalzebub the God of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this Is an holy Man of God, which passeth by us continually.
So she went and came unto the Man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the Man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder Is that Shunammite:
And when she came to the Man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the Man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul Is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou Man of God, there Is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
And it was so, when Elisha the Man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there Is a prophet in Israel.
And he returned to the Man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there Is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The Man of God Is come hither.
Then he said, What title Is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It Is the sepulchre of the Man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.
Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, Is yet young and tender, and the work Is great: for the palace Is not for Man, but for the LORD God. Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: read more The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then Is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD? Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly, And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite. Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy. Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD, Is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that Is in the heaven and in the earth Is thine; thine Is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand Is power and might; and in thine hand it Is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. But who am I, and what Is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there Is none abiding. O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and Is all thine own. I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee. O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision. show less
And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it Is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not Man prevail against thee.
But there came a Man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD Is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.
And Amaziah said to the Man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the Man of God answered, The LORD Is able to give thee much more than this.
Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it Is written in the law of Moses the Man of God.
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there Is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright Man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
Behold, happy Is the Man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright Man Is laughed to scorn.
This Is the portion of a wicked Man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
{To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David Is come to the house of Ahimelech.} Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty Man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
Lo, this Is the Man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
So that a Man shall say, Verily there Is a reward for the righteous: verily he Is a God that judgeth in the earth.
There Is nothing better for a Man, than that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God. For who can eat, or who else can hasten hereunto, more than I? For God giveth to a Man that Is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that Is good before God. This also Is vanity and vexation of spirit.
For God giveth to a Man that Is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that Is good before God. This also Is vanity and vexation of spirit.
And also that every Man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it Is the gift of God.
Every Man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this Is the gift of God.
A Man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this Is vanity, and it Is an evil disease.
Then I beheld all the work of God, that a Man cannot find out the work that Is done under the sun: because though a Man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise Man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no Man knoweth either love or hatred by all that Is before them.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this Is the whole duty of Man.
Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This Man Is not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.
Also, thou son of Man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end Is come upon the four corners of the land.
And thou, son of Man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword Is drawn: for the slaughter it Is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:
Son of Man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart Is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a Man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every Man that shall ask a petition of any God or Man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing Is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
But let Man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that Is in their hands.
He hath shewed thee, O Man, what Is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
But he answered and said, It Is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
And again I say unto you, It Is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich Man to enter into the kingdom of God.
It Is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich Man to enter into the kingdom of God.
And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no Man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
And Jesus answered him, saying, It Is written, That Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
And Jesus said unto him, No Man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, Is fit for the kingdom of God.
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God Is preached, and every Man presseth into it.
For it Is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich Man to enter into the kingdom of God.
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There Is no Man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
No Man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which Is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
It Is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every Man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This Man Is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a Man that Is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
Then again called they the Man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this Man Is a sinner.
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now Is the Son of Man glorified, and God Is glorified in him.
To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This Man Is the great power of God.
And he said unto them, Ye know how that it Is an unlawful thing for a Man that Is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any Man common or unclean.
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead Is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and Man's device.
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every Man a liar; as it Is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a Man)
But not as the offence, so also Is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which Is by one Man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any Man have not the Spirit of Christ, he Is none of his.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every Man that Is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every Man the measure of faith.
Who art thou that judgest another Man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God Is able to make him stand.
For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it Is evil for that Man who eateth with offence. It Is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or Is offended, or Is made weak. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy Is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
But as it Is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of Man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
For what Man knoweth the things of a Man, save the spirit of Man which Is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no Man, but the Spirit of God.
According to the grace of God which Is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every Man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
If any Man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God Is holy, which temple ye are.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as Is common to Man: but God Is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
But I would have you know, that the head of every Man Is Christ; and the head of the woman Is the Man; and the head of Christ Is God.
For a Man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he Is the image and glory of God: but the woman Is the glory of the Man.
For as the woman Is of the Man, even so Is the Man also by the woman; but all things of God.
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no Man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no Man can say that Jesus Is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
But that no Man Is justified by the law in the sight of God, it Is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Be not deceived; God Is not mocked: for whatsoever a Man soweth, that shall he also reap.
And that ye put on the new Man, which after God Is created in righteousness and true holiness.
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous Man, who Is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no Man say when he Is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any Man:
For this Is thankworthy, if a Man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
But let it be the hidden Man of the heart, in that which Is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which Is in the sight of God of great price.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every Man that asketh you a reason of the hope that Is in you with meekness and fear:
No Man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love Is perfected in us.
If a Man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he Is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
