And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God For Us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.
And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God For Us.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God For Us:
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live For ever:
And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: For they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let Us go and sacrifice to our God.
And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; For we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone Us?
Our cattle also shall go with Us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; For thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.
And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; For ye have brought Us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought Us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let Us pass by him: For the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong For Us: the LORD our God delivered all unto Us:
Now therefore why should we die? For this great fire will consume Us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die.
And the LORD commanded Us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, For our good always, that he might preserve Us alive, as it is at this day.
And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers For to give Us.
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto Us and to our children For ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before Us, until we were gone over:
And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: For it shall be a witness between Us that the LORD is God.
For the LORD our God, he it is that brought Us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved Us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
And the LORD drave out from before Us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; For he is our God.
And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto Us; For it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto Us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
And when the people saw him, they praised their God: For they said, Our God hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of Us.
And the Philistines were afraid, For they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto Us! For there hath not been such a thing heretofore.
And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with Us: For his hand is sore upon Us, and upon Dagon our God.
So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay Us not, and our people: For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.
And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God For Us, that he will save Us out of the hand of the Philistines.
(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let Us go to the seer: For he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray For thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: For we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask Us a king.
Be of good courage, and let Us play the men For our people, and For the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.
And let Us bring again the ark of our God to Us: For we inquired not at it in the days of Saul.
For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon Us, For that we sought him not after the due order.
Be of good courage, and let Us behave ourselves valiantly For our people, and For the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight.
But as For Us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business:
And, behold, God himself is with Us For our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; For ye shall not prosper.
And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help Us, O LORD our God; For we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
O our God, wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against Us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let Us build with you: For we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought Us up hither.
And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto Us ministers For the house of our God.
For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help Us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them For good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
And now For a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave Us a remnant to escape, and to give Us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give Us a little reviving in our bondage.
For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken Us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto Us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give Us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give Us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
And after all that is come upon Us For our evil deeds, and For our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished Us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given Us such deliverance as this;
Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God For this matter be turned from Us.
Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let Us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands For this good work.
In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto Us: our God shall fight For Us.
For they all made Us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.
Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let Us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let Us shut the doors of the temple: For they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.
And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about Us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: For they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.
Also we made ordinances For Us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel For the service of the house of our God;
For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among Us, and multiplieth his words against God.
{To the chief Musician For the sons of Korah, Maschil.} We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told Us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge For Us. Selah.
Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought For Us.
{Maschil of Asaph.} O God, why hast thou cast Us off For ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
Help Us, O God of our salvation, For the glory of thy name: and deliver Us, and purge away our sins, For thy name's sake.
Let Us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: For this is the whole duty of man.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let Us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach Us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: For God is with Us.
For unto Us a child is born, unto Us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited For him, and he will save Us: this is the LORD; we have waited For him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth Us: For we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let Us enter into the defenced cities, and let Us be silent there: For the LORD our God hath put Us to silence, and given Us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: For he hath spoken to Us in the name of the LORD our God.
For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let Us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God For Us.
And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray For Us unto the LORD thy God, even For all this remnant; (For we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold Us:)
Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between Us, if we do not even according to all things For the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to Us.
For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray For Us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto Us, and we will do it.
I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: For thou hast now made known unto Us the king's matter.
Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon Us: For the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: For we obeyed not his voice.
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let Us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach Us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: For the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
But God commendeth his love toward Us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died For Us.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession For Us.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto Us which are saved it is the power of God.
But God hath revealed them unto Us by his Spirit: For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For I think that God hath set forth Us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: For we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
But meat commendeth Us not to God: For neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by Us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by Us.
Now he that hath wrought Us For the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto Us the earnest of the Spirit.
Now then we are ambassadors For Christ, as though God did beseech you by Us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he hath made him to be sin For Us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Who gave himself For our sins, that he might deliver Us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved Us, and hath given himself For Us an offering and a sacrifice to God For a sweetsmelling savour.
Withal praying also For Us, that God would open unto Us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, For which I am also in bonds:
For they themselves shew of Us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of Us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
For God hath not appointed Us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
For God hath not given Us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible For God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled For refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before Us:
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God For Us:
God having provided some better thing For Us, that they without Us should not be made perfect.
For Christ also hath once suffered For sins, the just For the unjust, that he might bring Us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at Us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life For Us: and we ought to lay down our lives For the brethren.
Beloved, let Us love one another: For love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; For God is love.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved Us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation For our sins.
And hath made Us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion For ever and ever. Amen.
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: For thou wast slain, and hast redeemed Us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
