And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain Inspan> thine house, and bewail her Fatherspan> and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go Inspan> unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
Then shall the Fatherspan> of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens ofi> the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city Inspan> the gate:
And they shall amerce him Inspan> an hundred shekelsi> of silver, and give themi> unto the Fatherspan> of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her Fatherspan>'s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly Inspan> Israel, to play the whore Inspan> her Fatherspan>'s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
Behold, wheni> we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread Inspan> the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy Fatherspan>, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy Fatherspan>'s household, home unto thee.
And the young men that were spies went Inspan>, and brought out Rahab, and her Fatherspan>, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.
And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her Fatherspan>'s household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth Inspan> Israel eveni> unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
And they gave them the city of Arba the Fatherspan> of Anak, which city isi> Hebron, Inspan> the hill countryi> of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.
And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood Inspan> old time, eveni> Terah, the Fatherspan> of Abraham, and the Fatherspan> of Nachor: and they served other gods.
And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they Inspan> Shechem, Inspan> a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the Fatherspan> of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.
And the children of the Kenite, Moses' Fatherspan> Inspan> law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which liethi> Inspan> the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.
Now Heber the Kenite, which wasi> of the children of Hobab the Fatherspan> Inspan> law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which isi> by Kedesh.
And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family isi> poor Inspan> Manasseh, and I ami> the least Inspan> my Fatherspan>'s house.
And Gideon the son of Joash died Inspan> a good old age, and was buried Inspan> the sepulchre of Joash his Fatherspan>, Inspan> Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
Thus God rendered the wickedness of Abimelech, which he did unto his Fatherspan>, Inspan> slaying his seventy brethren:
And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit Inspan> our Fatherspan>'s house; for thou arti> the son of a strange woman.
And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my Fatherspan>'s house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are Inspan> distress?
And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her Fatherspan>, who did with her accordingi> to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom Inspan> Israel,
And he came up, and told his Fatherspan> and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman Inspan> Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.
And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he hadi> nothing Inspan> his hand: but he told not his Fatherspan> or his mother what he had done.
And he took thereof Inspan> his hands, and went on eating, and came to his Fatherspan> and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
But it came to pass within a while after, Inspan> the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go Inspan> to my wife into the chamber. But her Fatherspan> would not suffer him to go Inspan>.
Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son Inspan> law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her Fatherspan> with fire.
Then his brethren and all the house of his Fatherspan> came down, and took him, and brought himi> up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol Inspan> the buryingplace of Manoah his Fatherspan>. And he judged Israel twenty years.
And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a Fatherspan> and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekelsi> of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went Inspan>.
And they said unto him, Hold thy peace, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a Fatherspan> and a priest: is iti> better for thee to be a priest unto the house of one man, or that thou be a priest unto a tribe and a family Inspan> Israel?
And his Fatherspan> Inspan> law, the damsel's Fatherspan>, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.
And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early Inspan> the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's Fatherspan> said unto his son Inspan> law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.
And he arose early Inspan> the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel's Fatherspan> said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.
And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his Fatherspan> Inspan> law, the damsel's Fatherspan>, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.
And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother Inspan> law since the death of thine husband: and howi> thou hast left thy Fatherspan> and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy Fatherspan>, when they were Inspan> Egypt Inspan> Pharaoh's house?
Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy Fatherspan>'s house, that there shall not be an old man Inspan> thine house.
And his daughter Inspan> law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, neari> to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her Fatherspan> Inspan> law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.
And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her Fatherspan> Inspan> law and her husband.
When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre Inspan> the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy Fatherspan> hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
But Jonathan heard not when his Fatherspan> charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that wasi> Inspan> his hand, and dipped it Inspan> an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened.
And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, thati> the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his Fatherspan>'s house free Inspan> Israel.
And David said unto Saul, Who ami> I? and what isi> my life, ori> my Fatherspan>'s family Inspan> Israel, that I should be son Inspan> law to the king?
But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much Inspan> David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my Fatherspan> seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide Inspan> a secret placei>, and hide thyself:
And David fled from Naioth Inspan> Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what isi> mine iniquity? and what isi> my sin before thy Fatherspan>, that he seeketh my life?
And David sware moreover, and said, Thy Fatherspan> certainly knoweth that I have found grace Inspan> thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly asi> the LORD liveth, and asi> thy soul liveth, there isi> but a step between me and death.
Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the LORD with thee: notwithstanding, if there be Inspan> me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy Fatherspan>?
So Jonathan arose from the table Inspan> fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his Fatherspan> had done him shame.
Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his Fatherspan>'s house, the priests that werei> Inspan> Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
Moreover, my Fatherspan>, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe Inspan> my hand: for Inspan> that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there isi> neither evil nor transgression Inspan> mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.
And they took up Asahel, and buried him Inspan> the sepulchre of his Fatherspan>, which was Inspan>i> Bethlehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
And Saul had a concubine, whose name wasi> Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishboshethi> said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone Inspan> unto my Fatherspan>'s concubine?
And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy Fatherspan> cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat Inspan> my sight, that I may see iti>, and eat iti> at her hand.
And again, whom should I serve? should Ii> not servei> Inspan> the presence of his son? as I have served Inspan> thy Fatherspan>'s presence, so will I be Inspan> thy presence.
And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go Inspan> unto thy Fatherspan>'s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy Fatherspan>: then shall the hands of all that arei> with thee be strong.
So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went Inspan> unto his Fatherspan>'s concubines Inspan> the sight of all Israel.
For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy Fatherspan> and his men, that they bei> mighty men, and they bei> chafed Inspan> their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps Inspan> the field: and thy Fatherspan> isi> a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled hisi> ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household Inspan> order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried Inspan> the sepulchre of his Fatherspan>.
Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die Inspan> mine own city, and be buriedi> by the grave of my Fatherspan> and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.
And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they Inspan> the country of Benjamin Inspan> Zelah, Inspan> the sepulchre of Kish his Fatherspan>: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.
And his Fatherspan> had not displeased him at any time Inspan> saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was ai> very goodly mani>; and his motheri> bare him after Absalom.
And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou arti> worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my Fatherspan>, and because thou hast been afflicted Inspan> all wherein my Fatherspan> was afflicted.
And Solomon loved the LORD, walking Inspan> the statutes of David his Fatherspan>: only he sacrificed and burnt incense Inspan> high places.
And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my Fatherspan> great mercy, according as he walked before thee Inspan> truth, and Inspan> righteousness, and Inspan> uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it isi> this day.
And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my Fatherspan>: and I am buti> a little child: I know not howi> to go out or come Inspan>.
And if thou wilt walk Inspan> my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy Fatherspan> David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king Inspan> the room of his Fatherspan>: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.
And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my Fatherspan>, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne Inspan> thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
Concerningi> this house which thou art Inspan> building, if thou wilt walk Inspan> my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk Inspan> them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy Fatherspan>:
He wasi> a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his Fatherspan> wasi> a man of Tyre, a worker Inspan> brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works Inspan> brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought Inspan> the things which David his Fatherspan> had dedicated; eveni> the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.
And it was Inspan> the heart of David my Fatherspan> to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
And the LORD said unto David my Fatherspan>, Whereas it was Inspan> thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was Inspan> thine heart.
And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up Inspan> the room of David my Fatherspan>, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my Fatherspan> that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man Inspan> my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.
And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy Fatherspan> walked, Inspan> integrity of heart, and Inspan> uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, andi> wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
And Solomon did evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as didi> David his Fatherspan>.
Notwithstanding Inspan> thy days I will not do it for David thy Fatherspan>'s sake: buti> I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.
Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked Inspan> my ways, to do that which isi> right Inspan> mine eyes, and to keepi> my statutes and my judgments, as didi> David his Fatherspan>.
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried Inspan> the city of David his Fatherspan>: and Rehoboam his son reigned Inspan> his stead.
Now there dwelt an old prophet Inspan> Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day Inspan> Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their Fatherspan>.
And he walked Inspan> all the sins of his Fatherspan>, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his Fatherspan>.
And Asa did that which wasi> right Inspan> the eyes of the LORD, as didi> David his Fatherspan>.
And he brought Inspan> the things which his Fatherspan> had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels.
And Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers Inspan> the city of David his Fatherspan>: and Jehoshaphat his son reigned Inspan> his stead.
And he did evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, and walked Inspan> the way of his Fatherspan>, and Inspan> his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.
And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy Fatherspan>'s house, Inspan> that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
And Benhadadi> said unto him, The cities, which my Fatherspan> took from thy Fatherspan>, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee Inspan> Damascus, as my Fatherspan> made Inspan> Samaria. Then said Ahabi>, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
And he walked Inspan> all the ways of Asa his Fatherspan>; he turned not aside from it, doing that which wasi> right Inspan> the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; fori> the people offered and burnt incense yet Inspan> the high places.
And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained Inspan> the days of his Fatherspan> Asa, he took out of the land.
And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers Inspan> the city of David his Fatherspan>: and Jehoram his son reigned Inspan> his stead.
And he did evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, and walked Inspan> the way of his Fatherspan>, and Inspan> the way of his mother, and Inspan> the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
And Elisha saw iti>, and he cried, My Fatherspan>, my Fatherspan>, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them Inspan> two pieces.
And he wrought evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD; but not like his Fatherspan>, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his Fatherspan> had made.
Then said Jehui> to Bidkar his captain, Take up, andi> cast him Inspan> the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his Fatherspan>, the LORD laid this burden upon him;
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his Fatherspan>: he did according to all things as Joash his Fatherspan> did.
And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed Inspan> his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his Fatherspan>.
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, according to all that his Fatherspan> Amaziah had done; Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places. And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt Inspan> a several house. And Jotham the king's son wasi> over the house, judging the people of the land. And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, arei> they not written Inspan> the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? read more So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers Inspan> the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned Inspan> his stead. Inspan> the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel Inspan> Samaria six months. And he did that which wasi> evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin. And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned Inspan> his stead. And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they arei> written Inspan> the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. This wasi> the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generationi>. And so it came to pass. Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign Inspan> the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month Inspan> Samaria. And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers Inspan> the city of David his Fatherspan>: and Ahaz his son reigned Inspan> his stead.
Twenty years old wasi> Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years Inspan> Jerusalem, and did not that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD his God, like David his Fatherspan>.
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his Fatherspan> did.
And he did that which wasi> evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, as his Fatherspan> Manasseh did.
And he walked Inspan> all the way that his Fatherspan> walked Inspan>, and served the idols that his Fatherspan> served, and worshipped them:
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, and walked Inspan> all the way of David his Fatherspan>, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
And his servants carried him Inspan> a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him Inspan> his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king Inspan> his Fatherspan>'s stead.
And Pharaohnechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king Inspan> the room of Josiah his Fatherspan>, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there.
And he did that which wasi> evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, according to all that his Fatherspan> had done.
And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his Fatherspan>'s brother king Inspan> his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
And afterward Hezron went Inspan> to the daughter of Machir the Fatherspan> of Gilead, whom he married when he wasi> threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.
And after that Hezron was dead Inspan> Calebephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the Fatherspan> of Tekoa.
And the sons of Tola; Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their Fatherspan>'s house, to witi>, of Tola: they werei> valiant men of might Inspan> their generations; whose number wasi> Inspan> the days of David two and twenty thousand and six hundred.
And Inspan> Gibeon dwelt the Fatherspan> of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife's name wasi> Maachah:
And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were Inspan> one reckoning, according to theiri> Fatherspan>'s house.
These werei> the orderings of them Inspan> their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their Fatherspan>, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.
All these werei> under the hands of their Fatherspan> for song Inspan>i> the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my Fatherspan>, and hast made me to reign Inspan> his stead.
Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my Fatherspan> be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth Inspan> multitude.
Send me now therefore a man cunning to work Inspan> gold, and Inspan> silver, and Inspan> brass, and Inspan> iron, and Inspan> purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that arei> with me Inspan> Judah and Inspan> Jerusalem, whom David my Fatherspan> did provide.
The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his Fatherspan> wasi> a man of Tyre, skilful to work Inspan> gold, and Inspan> silver, Inspan> brass, Inspan> iron, Inspan> stone, and Inspan> timber, Inspan> purple, Inspan> blue, and Inspan> fine linen, and Inspan> crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy Fatherspan>.
And Solomon numbered all the strangers that werei> Inspan> the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his Fatherspan> had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem Inspan> mount Moriah, where the LORDi> appeared unto David his Fatherspan>, Inspan> the place that David had prepared Inspan> the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought Inspan> alli> the things that David his Fatherspan> had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.
Now it was Inspan> the heart of David my Fatherspan> to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up Inspan> the room of David my Fatherspan>, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my Fatherspan> that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man Inspan> my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk Inspan> my law, as thou hast walked before me.
Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy Fatherspan>, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to bei> ruler Inspan> Israel.
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried Inspan> the city of David his Fatherspan>: and Rehoboam his son reigned Inspan> his stead.
And he placed forces Inspan> all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons Inspan> the land of Judah, and Inspan> the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his Fatherspan> had taken.
And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked Inspan> the first ways of his Fatherspan> David, and sought not unto Baalim;
But sought to the LORDi> God of his Fatherspan>, and walked Inspan> his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
And he walked Inspan> the way of Asa his Fatherspan>, and departed not from it, doing that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD.
And their Fatherspan> gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities Inspan> Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he wasi> the firstborn.
And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy Fatherspan>, Because thou hast not walked Inspan> the ways of Jehoshaphat thy Fatherspan>, nor Inspan> the ways of Asa king of Judah,
But hast walked Inspan> the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy Fatherspan>'s house, which werei> better than thyself:
Wherefore he did evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellers after the death of his Fatherspan> to his destruction.
Then all the people of Judah took Uzziah, who wasi> sixteen years old, and made him king Inspan> the room of his Fatherspan> Amaziah.
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, according to all that his Fatherspan> Amaziah did.
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, according to all that his Fatherspan> Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
Ahaz wasi> twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years Inspan> Jerusalem: but he did not that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, like David his Fatherspan>:
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his Fatherspan> had done.
But he did that which wasi> evil Inspan> the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his Fatherspan>: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his Fatherspan> had made, and served them;
And he did that which wasi> right Inspan> the sight of the LORD, and walked Inspan> the ways of David his Fatherspan>, and declined neitheri> to the right hand, nor to the left.
For Inspan> the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his Fatherspan>: and Inspan> the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.
Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king Inspan> his Fatherspan>'s stead Inspan> Jerusalem.

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Fatherspan> which speaketh Inspan> you.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his Fatherspan>, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter Inspan> law against her mother Inspan> law.
Even so, Fatherspan>: for so it seemed good Inspan> thy sight.
For whosoever shall do the will of my Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun Inspan> the kingdom of their Fatherspan>. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed iti> unto thee, but my Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven.
For the Son of man shall come Inspan> the glory of his Fatherspan> with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That Inspan> heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven.
Even so it is not the will of your Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven.
And call no mani> your Fatherspan> upon the earth: for one is your Fatherspan>, which is Inspan> heaven.
But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you Inspan> my Fatherspan>'s kingdom.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them Inspan> the name of the Fatherspan>, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
And straightway he called them: and they left their Fatherspan> Zebedee Inspan> the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the Fatherspan> and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth Inspan> where the damsel was lying.
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words Inspan> this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh Inspan> the glory of his Fatherspan> with the holy angels.
Blessed bei> the kingdom of our Fatherspan> David, that cometh Inspan> the name of the Lord: Hosanna Inspan> the highest.
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Fatherspan> also which is Inspan> heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Fatherspan> which is Inspan> heaven forgive your trespasses.
But of that day and thati> hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are Inspan> heaven, neither the Son, but the Fatherspan>.
And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go Inspan>, save Peter, and James, and John, and the Fatherspan> and the mother of the maiden.
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come Inspan> his own glory, and Inspan> hisi> Fatherspan>'s, and of the holy angels.
Inspan> that hour Jesus rejoiced Inspan> spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Fatherspan>, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Fatherspan>; for so it seemed good Inspan> thy sight.
And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Fatherspan> which art Inspan> heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as Inspan> heaven, so Inspan> earth.
The Fatherspan> shall be divided against the son, and the son against the Fatherspan>; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother Inspan> law against her daughter Inspan> law, and the daughter Inspan> law against her mother Inspan> law.
And the son said unto him, Fatherspan>, I have sinned against heaven, and Inspan> thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
And he was angry, and would not go Inspan>: therefore came his Fatherspan> out, and intreated him.
And he cried and said, Fatherspan> Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger Inspan> water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented Inspan> this flame.
And, behold, I send the promise of my Fatherspan> upon you: but tarry ye Inspan> the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is Inspan> the bosom of the Fatherspan>, he hath declared himi>.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither Inspan> this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Fatherspan>.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Fatherspan> Inspan> spirit and Inspan> truth: for the Fatherspan> seeketh such to worship him.
So the Fatherspan> knew that it wasi> at the same hour, Inspan> the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
For as the Fatherspan> hath life Inspan> himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life Inspan> himself;
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Fatherspan>: there is onei> that accuseth you, eveni> Moses, Inspan> whom ye trust.
All that the Fatherspan> giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will Inspan> no wise cast out.
It is written Inspan> the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Fatherspan>, cometh unto me.
Ye are of youri> Fatherspan> the devil, and the lusts of your Fatherspan> ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not Inspan> the truth, because there is no truth Inspan> him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the Fatherspan> of it.
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do Inspan> my Fatherspan>'s name, they bear witness of me.
But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Fatherspan> isi> Inspan> me, and I Inspan> him.
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Fatherspan>, having loved his own which were Inspan> the world, he loved them unto the end. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's soni>, to betray him; Jesus knowing that the Fatherspan> had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. read more After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe themi> with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also myi> hands and myi> head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash hisi> feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for soi> I am. If I then, youri> Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am hei>. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled Inspan> spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake. Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake. He then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped iti>. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave iti> to Judas Iscariot, the soni> of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him. For some of themi> thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those thingsi> that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night. Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified Inspan> him. If God be glorified Inspan> him, God shall also glorify him Inspan> himself, and shall straightway glorify him. Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all meni> know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards. Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake. Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice. show less
Believest thou not that I am Inspan> the Fatherspan>, and the Fatherspan> Inspan> me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Fatherspan> that dwelleth Inspan> me, he doeth the works.
Believe me that I ami> Inspan> the Fatherspan>, and the Fatherspan> Inspan> me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
And whatsoever ye shall ask Inspan> my name, that will I do, that the Fatherspan> may be glorified Inspan> the Son.
At that day ye shall know that I ami> Inspan> my Fatherspan>, and ye Inspan> me, and I Inspan> you.
But the Comforter, which isi> the Holy Ghost, whom the Fatherspan> will send Inspan> my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
As the Fatherspan> hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye Inspan> my love.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide Inspan> my love; even as I have kept my Fatherspan>'s commandments, and abide Inspan> his love.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and thati> your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Fatherspan> Inspan> my name, he may give it you.
And Inspan> that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Fatherspan> Inspan> my name, he will give iti> you.
These things have I spoken unto you Inspan> proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you Inspan> proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Fatherspan>.
At that day ye shall ask Inspan> my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Fatherspan> for you:
And now I am no more Inspan> the world, but these are Inspan> the world, and I come to thee. Holy Fatherspan>, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we arei>.
That they all may be one; as thou, Fatherspan>, arti> Inspan> me, and I Inspan> thee, that they also may be one Inspan> us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And led him away to Annas first; for he was Fatherspan> Inspan> law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Fatherspan> hath put Inspan> his own power.
And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our Fatherspan> Abraham, when he was Inspan> Mesopotamia, before he dwelt Inspan> Charran,
Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt Inspan> Charran: and from thence, when his Fatherspan> was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
Inspan> which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up Inspan> his Fatherspan>'s house three months:
Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were Inspan> those quarters: for they knew all that his Fatherspan> was a Greek.
And it came to pass, that the Fatherspan> of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered Inspan>, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
To all that be Inspan> Rome, beloved of God, called to bei> saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Fatherspan>, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
And the Fatherspan> of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk Inspan> the steps of that faith of our Fatherspan> Abraham, which he hadi> being yeti> uncircumcised.
Who against hope believed Inspan> hope, that he might become the Fatherspan> of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Fatherspan>, even so we also should walk Inspan> newness of life.
But to us there is buti> one God, the Fatherspan>, of whom arei> all things, and we Inspan> him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom arei> all things, and we by him.
Blessed bei> the God and Fatherspan> of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings Inspan> heavenly placesi> Inspan> Christ:
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Fatherspan> of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation Inspan> the knowledge of him:
One God and Fatherspan> of all, who isi> above all, and through all, and Inspan> you all.
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Fatherspan> Inspan> the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the Fatherspan>, he hath served with me Inspan> the gospel.
To the saints and faithful brethren Inspan> Christ which are at Colosse: Grace bei> unto you, and peace, from God our Fatherspan> and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Giving thanks unto the Fatherspan>, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints Inspan> light:
For it pleased the Fatherspan>i> that Inspan> him should all fulness dwell;
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together Inspan> love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Fatherspan>, and of Christ;
And whatsoever ye do Inspan> word or deed, doi> all Inspan> the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Fatherspan> by him.
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which isi> Inspan> God the Fatherspan> and Inspan>i> the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace bei> unto you, and peace, from God our Fatherspan>, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope Inspan> our Lord Jesus Christ, Inspan> the sight of God and our Fatherspan>;
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable Inspan> holiness before God, even our Fatherspan>, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians Inspan> God our Fatherspan> and the Lord Jesus Christ:
Unto Timothy, myi> own son Inspan> the faith: Grace, mercy, andi> peace, from God our Fatherspan> and Jesus Christ our Lord.
For he was yet Inspan> the loins of his Fatherspan>, when Melchisedec met him.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected usi>, and we gave themi> reverence: shall we not much rather be Inspan> subjection unto the Fatherspan> of spirits, and live?
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Fatherspan> is this, To visit the fatherless and widows Inspan> their affliction, andi> to keep himself unspotted from the world.
And if ye call on the Fatherspan>, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning herei> Inspan> fear:
For he received from God the Fatherspan> honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, Inspan> whom I am well pleased.
Love not the world, neither the things that arei> Inspan> the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Fatherspan> is not Inspan> him.
For all that isi> Inspan> the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Fatherspan>, but is of the world.
Let that therefore abide Inspan> you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain Inspan> you, ye also shall continue Inspan> the Son, and Inspan> the Fatherspan>.
For there are three that bear record Inspan> heaven, the Fatherspan>, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Grace be with you, mercy, andi> peace, from God the Fatherspan>, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Fatherspan>, Inspan> truth and love.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking Inspan> truth, as we have received a commandment from the Fatherspan>.
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not Inspan> the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth Inspan> the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Fatherspan> and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into youri> house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed Inspan> white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Fatherspan>, and before his angels.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me Inspan> my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Fatherspan> Inspan> his throne.
And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty andi> four thousand, having his Fatherspan>'s name written Inspan> their foreheads.
