Zechariah 6:12
And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: |
||
Zechariah 6:13
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. |
And they said unto him, Hold thy peace, lay thine hand upon thy mouth, and go with us, and be to us a father and a priest: is it better for thee to Be a priest unto the house of one man, or that thou Be a priest unto a tribe and a family in Israel?
Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may Be a priest of them that are no gods.
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall Be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
For if he were on earth, he should not Be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall Be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to Be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to Be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
And he shall do with the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, and it shall Be forgiven them.
And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall Be forgiven him.
And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall Be forgiven him.
And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall Be forgiven him: and the remnant shall Be the priest's, as a meat offering.
And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall Be forgiven him.
And the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it: it is a statute for ever unto the LORD; it shall Be wholly burnt.
And if she Be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall Be clean.
When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it Be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall Be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:
And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight Be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.
And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight Be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:
And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague Be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is but a scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and Be clean.
And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and pronounce him to Be unclean: for the raw flesh is unclean: it is a leprosy.
And in the place of the boil there Be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it Be shewed to the priest;
And if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it Be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof Be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.
Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot Be turned white, and it Be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.
And if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not in the skin, but it Be somewhat dark; it is a rising of the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him clean: for it is an inflammation of the burning.
Then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it Be in sight deeper than the skin; and there Be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a leprosy upon the head or beard.
But if the scall Be in his sight at a stay, and that there is black hair grown up therein; the scall is healed, he is clean: and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
Then the priest shall look: and, behold, if the bright spots in the skin of their flesh Be darkish white; it is a freckled spot that groweth in the skin; he is clean.
And if the plague Be greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a plague of leprosy, and shall Be shewed unto the priest:
Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to Be cleansed before the LORD.
Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague Be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean.
If the priest's daughter also Be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.
But if the priest's daughter Be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father's house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father's meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye Be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall Be holy to the LORD for the priest.
And if it Be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest:
And when a man shall sanctify his house to Be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it Be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall Be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall Be the priest's.
And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall Be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:
Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for every thing of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall Be put to death.
And this shall Be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it Be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, to Be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,
And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and Be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.
And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it Be done speedily,
The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should Be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.
And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to Be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet Be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall Be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall Be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall Be between them both.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to Be made like unto his brethren, that he might Be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
For if he were on earth, he should not Be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
