(ihssh mi' uh) Long and short form of personal name meaning, “Yah(weh) hears.” 1. Military hero from Gibeon in charge of David's select “thirty” warriors (1 Chronicles 12:4 ), though he is not listed among the “thirty” in 2 Samuel 23:1 or 1 Chronicles 11:1 . He does illustrate early support for David from Saul's tribe of Benjamin. 2. Head of tribe of Zebulun under David (1 Chronicles 27:19 ).
